Customers should be able to pay bills on line with debit info and not bank auto draft. Would make it easier for out of towncustomers to pay their bills.

1 cold weather answering machine by Unimpressed - 02/03/2014

The Cape Fear Propane, Whiteville, NC office was not answering any calls during the 3 days of inclement weather last week. Their anwering service message was they were experiencing a high volume of calls due to the inclement weather. They asked for customers to leave a message which would be returned as soon as they were available, after serving other customers. I left multiple messages over two days then Friday, I finally was able to speak to a scheduler and learned that they had been closed for two days and the message was not true! To make matters worse, the custumer service rep at the Whiteville location told me that they were not going to make delieveries over the weekend to make up for their lack of service, still had me pay for gas which still hasn't been delivered. FYI, the bogus answering machine message is still on....and again have left 2 messages..

2 Customer Service by wanting Information - 04/07/2013

I received two statements in the mail this week, the same day. One statement is dated 11/27/12 and the other is 03/29/13. OK, whatever. My concern is both are six pages detailing my customer payments. Bothe have identical information dating back to 09/30/09. There is nothing in either statement telling me why. Is there a hidden agenda you're not wanting to tell me? My feelings are such due to an issue in the past about a credit. When I asked the local office, I was told "corporate" would have to take of it. I wasn't given any way of contacting "corporate". Been with you over eight years.

2 awful customer service !!!!! by nothappy - 03/15/2012

We had a gas leak outside on our gas tank, we noticed late at night when taking the dog out that it smelled like gas. So we turned gas off and called them the next morning. Someone came out and fixed it, which was great. I called in to see if i could get some kind of refund, since gas went down the drain for a month, the lady on the phone was very unfriendly and snapped at me, telling me that hardly any gas could have left the tank, and that i was using the gas also. When we call to order gas, they want you to pay immediately and then they take their time to deliver gas. Customer service sucks!!!!!

I ordered gas and I had to prepay for it before they would bring it to me. That's ok, what Iam upset about is how long it took to GET the gas. I waited & waited and called back and they told me 3-4 days. I don't think I should be made to pay in advance and it take that long to get the gas. I also have to pay rent for the tank that's been in my yard forever. I don't like the way they do business AT ALL. I will be finding another gas co.

1 Cape Fear Propane's Business Dealings Anger Many Bladen Sampson Customers by doshiab - 06/30/2010

I ordered 100 gallons of gas from Cape Fear Propane and prepaid. They put in 117 gals. filing the 250 gal tank. Driver error. I agreed to set automatic online payment to be made after tax season. I did. Without my knowledge (I live out of town) they went out and removed the tank for the overage (worth $49). They claimed that the pilot lights on the heaters and stove (which are almost always out when I come home) apparently used up much of the full tank of gas. Subtracting fees for removal, they allowed $119 refund. When customers changed companies in the past, Bladen Sampson worked with the new company to "exchange" tanks for customers whose tanks were inground so that there was no need for the expense of digging up the buried, tank, etc. Reportedly, this is not so with the company that bought out Bladen Sampson. It seems that customers have to pay for having the tank dug up as well as for other charges related to any oil in the tank. The Whiteville company dissatisfied customers are

I have been a customer for a short time and cannot get gas delivered on time.when you call it is always it will be there today but i guess today never is here cause i am still waiting.this is not good customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cape Fear propane purchased Sampson Bladen LP business. I was one of the many customers that received an annual 'tank rental' charge for the tank we purchased years earlier. (bought it from the Goldsboro Farmers auction). After being badgered with Cape Fear bills, I decided to have them cancel the account and buy an electric Heat pump unit from another company. Cape Fear picked up the tank (80% full) ans claimed it was empty. (so, no credit for the $400 LP purchased earlier). Another typical rip off tactic that several other cancelling customers around here noticed.Yes, avoid Cape Fear propane as they are not honest and reasonable vendors.

1 CRAP!! by me - 06/26/2009

I have been doing business with this company for years and know about what my gas cost. This company is literally ripping me off!!! I am very unhappy with my last year of business with them. With the economy like it is, I keep getting charge after charge and now I have to pay rent for a take I have used for years. What the xxxx?
