Description
Denver’s original steakhouse, The Buckhorn Exchange is located in the city’s oldest neighborhood, just 5-minutes from downtown Denver -- with a light-rail stop right across the street. This National Historic Landmark and Western Museum has been serving the finest in Old West fare since 1893.Prime grade beef steaks, buffalo prime rib, elk, salmon, quail, game hen, and succulent baby-back pork ribs are just some of the marvelous offerings on the Buckhorn menu. Exotic appetizers such as alligator tail, rattlesnake and buffalo sausage are available, and no dinner is complete without the house specialty, Rocky Mountain Oysters.
LUNCH
For lunch we serve up a lighter fare including our renowned Grandma Fanny’s pot roast sandwich, enormous beef and buffalo burgers, bratwurst or rib platters, main course salads, and the Buckhorn’s famous bean soup.
DESSERT
For dessert, the hot Dutch apple pie ala mode with cinnamon rum sauce, or the double-chocolate Rocky Road brownie are sinful experiences that will forever remind you of your visit to the one and only Buckhorn Exchange.
SUPPER
Whether a quiet dinner for two, birthday, anniversary or an office celebration, we strongly recommend reservations.
So call today for a unique -- and tasty -- historical Old West experience!

Disappointing by Just me - 11/13/2009Rocky Mountain Oysters - some where like shoe leather.Lettuce was still wet making it hard for the dressing to stick.Granny's Roast Beef was wonderful.Buffalo Prime Rib was over-cooked.For the price the wait staff should have been excellent. When dining I have high expectations especially of the Buckhorn Exchange.
Love it by echo - 10/28/2007Tried it and loved it! Excellent food and excellent atmosphere.
excellent food by jackie4 - 10/25/2007After getting use to all the deadheads I enjoyed the food.
Fun by Mary - 10/14/2007It's been here a long time and they know what they're doing. It's a little pricey for us to go there alot. Try the wild game.
Good place by dawnandbobby - 10/11/2007Good food good service unusual surroundings
A piece of history by latte4me - 10/10/2007The Buckhorn has been around forever. It is worth the experience of having your food watch you eat for once. If you're unsure about taxidermy, this is NOT the place for you.
