5 Best Lighting and Fan Showroom by Chuck A - 11/19/2014

This place is terrific. It has the most remarkable chandeliers, pendants and bathroom lights. The ceiling fans are the coolest..literally. The tropical and contemporary models are the best that I have seen anywhere. I spoke with Bobby on the sales floor and he was so honest and friendly. Great experience!

The true measure of a business is how they work with customers when they have a problem with their purchase. I am a former President and Publisher of a 400,000 circulation newspaper and have worked with advertisers and businesses for over 25 years. My experience with Brothers lighting, in my opinion, was disappointing yet clarifying. My wife and I returned to Brothers lighting after a successful purchase of a fan for the lanai. We worked with the same sales person again to purchase three more fans. We explained we needed one for the bedroom, living room and one for the office. After we had all three fans installed by E & Son Electric (great company) the fan in the office began to have problems. The remote that came with fan would turn the light on the fan one in every 10 times it was used. Their were two halogen lights on the fan and one would turn off after 1 minute. The problem continued for a couple of days so I decided to call Brothers lighting (the fan was installed on Wed. and it is now Fri.). My salesperson was not there, however, I had the pleasure of talking to the manager (Charles). I explained to him what my issues were with the fan and that the fan must be defective. Charles said that there are no exchanges, returns or repairs by Brothers Lighting. He offered an 800 number to call the company and said sorry all sales are final. I fell back in my chair and thought, I just got fired as a customer. I said don't you stand by the products you sell? His was response was, if we had to deal with all the customers who called us with issues we would never get anything done. I was amazed that their was not even a hint of concern about my fan not working properly. The conversation ended with Charles saying he was busy and had to go. Since this experience if have done some checking online and found the following: In my opinion their website comment section has been turned off. Also, the Facebook page they reference is a developer page (Facebook) and in my opinion misleads you into believing they have lots of likes, when they are actually Facebook's likes. In my opinion if more people write reviews maybe Charles will solve the issues at the store avoiding having to respond to them online.

We love Brothers! This place is just AMAZING! All the chandelier family groups are together so I can see everything- wow. These folks have years of experience and you feel the difference as soon as you walk in the door. We were given such low prices, terrific sales who helped us with every detail of our lights and fans...., so much needed education. We realized we did not need a designer with this type of organization available right here in Fort Myers! Who knew?

I bought a beautiful mosaic chandelier in May from Brothers Lighting. The salesman, Joe, was very helpful in sizing the fixture and explaining the wattages. The item now hangs in my dining room and all of my friends give me compliments when they see it. I am extremely happy with the sales and service at Brothers Lighting and would highly recommend them to anyone.

We ordered 2 outside wall mount garage lights and 1 hanging light in the outside entry. All the same color and brand. We got the 2 lights in 4 days and the hanging entry light took over 2 weeks. It was the wrong color. The salesman wrote down the wrong code. They would not expedite the light, it has been 2 weeks again and they say it will not be there till next Wednesday. Poor customer service. DO NOT SHOP THERE.

At Brothers Lighting and Fan Gallery, we have provided 24 years of quality sales and service to our customers of Southwest Florida. In our business, we are forced to rely on suppliers when ordering merchandise. In this case, a usually reliable lighting fixture source did not deliver the merchandise in a timely fashion. We regret that this occurred, but it was a situation that was out of our control. Brothers Lighting has beaten the anticipated delivery date on nearly every order of 2014.

1 Disrespected by Disrespected - 02/17/2014

We purchased seven ceiling fans from Brothers Lighting. When we were installing the first one we realized that it would not work in our home. Five of the seven ceiling were not going to work. On February 17th, 2014 we went in and explained the situation to the store manager. We said we would like to exchange them and would pay for a restocking fee. The store manager said he would call the fan company. He came back and said if you buy this piece for seventy dollars (times 5) it should work. I said "No Thank You", please let us exchange them for ones that will work without the extra parts. The store manager said the sale was final. We explained to him that our sales person stated that we could bring them back if they did not work. The store manager said "No, all sales are final". When I called the maker of the ceiling fans they said that the part he explained to me did not exist. They also could not believe that they would not exchange them since four of the five boxes were not opened. I told him we wanted to do business with a local company and show our support to the community that we have grown up in. Again, he said we will not help you and he walked away.

Customers Alicia & Jonathan Druskis were in Brothers Lighting & Fan Gallery showroom on December 26, 2013 shopping for ceiling fans. Salesman Denny assisted them on this occasion. The customers arrived at the Brothers' showroom with previously reviewed selections. The information or spec page shows that the Hunter 59039 ceiling fans are remote control fans. The customers insisted on discounted pricing for the items to match an internet source. Brothers Lighting & Fan Gallery lowered the prices to appease the customers. In return, the customers agreed to Final Sale terms and signed their ticket acknowledging this. The ticket where Alicia Druskis signed clearly states “Final Sale-Returns Not Accepted.” The customer selected items were special ordered and they picked up the merchandise on January 21, 2014. On February 17, 2014 the customers returned to Brothers Lighting & Fan Gallery showroom, 4 weeks after the pickup and 8 weeks after the initial sale and agreement. The customers spoke with manager Joe and explained that they had purchased and installed fan controls from online supplier and that they wished to return 5 of the 7 fans that were originally purchased. Manager Joe attempted to remedy the situation by consulting the factory to see if these Hunter 59039 ceiling fans could be compatible with the Amazon purchased controls. After some back and forth, the customers became very impatient. The Brothers Lighting & Fan Gallery ownership & management affirmed the company policy as stated on the signed and agreed ticket. The customers purchased Final Sale items and agreed to “Returns Not Accepted.” Brothers Lighting & Fan Gallery reaffirms this policy.

I have gone to a lot of different lighting stores and Brothers is by far the best. There selection is beyond amazing and there employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. There two story showroom with there huge atrium is phenomenal.This is by far the best showroom I have seen in Florida!

I shopped every box store & lighting showroom in the Fort Myers area. Thank goodness I found Brothers Lighting. They had all the product in stock and the customer service was the best of all the stores. I recommend Brothers to everyone.

If your looking for fine quality lighting and the best selection of fhe latest ceiling fans go to Brothers. The service and knowledge of the sales professionals can not be beat. Don't bother going to the other stores. This is the only game in town by far.
