Great place, grumpy receptionist

by Gorilla , 01/07/2014

ATTENTION PITTIE OWNERS: This is the first clinic Ive taken my pitbulls too that Ive never had even a single vet staff be ass-hats about a pitbull. In fact the Vet Karama has 1 or 2 of her own. If you have a pit and you want the best, go here. Even the grump behind the counter likes pitbulls. I love taking my 3 dogs here, but the older lady with glasses works the desk is almost always in a grumpy mood, or at least it seems that way. Ive never seen her smile, not sure if she is capable. But NONE THE LESS.....It is the best place Ive ever taken my dogs. Karma is an awesome doctor, I love her to pieces. My dogs love her too. Not sure why some ppl are b******* about the smell...smells like every vet Ive ever been to, and it doesnt even stink(?????). Though I will agree Jolie(I think thats her name) is pretty grumpy, but Id still never trade them for anyone else. They have a patron for life, thats for damn sure

Traumatized my dog

by Angry at brookside , 12/14/2010

I have been a patient of Brookside for a couple years, And I have always trusted them. So when I brought my new addition there to get neutered, I trusted them to take of my dog. When I picked him up the next day I was given my dog with no instructions to care for him, No antibiotics and only 4 rimadyl ( a mild pain killer and intiflammatory) which is like ibuprofin to us humans. Over the course of 72 hours, keeping his wound clean he developed an infection under his stitches and the infection ripped his stiches open. In the 3 days he couldnt urinate or have a bowel movement. Calling Brookside I got an answering machine.i went to Cottonwood Animal Hospital and was greeted with a smile and concern. My dog had an infection deep in to his wound of white and black puss. They fixed what I paid Brookside to do, with care and concern. Sent home with pain killers and antibiotic and Instructions! My dog suffered because of Brookside. If you love your animals dont take them to Brookside!

I don't know if their friends or staff are writing the reviews for this place, but they are RUDE JERKS!! We took our dogs there when I was younger and every single time I went I was treated AWFUL and yelled at by the cranky old hag that worked there. And every single time I went it was a different thing wrong with the dog and another med to buy, it was never consistant. Then I got a puppy and needed shots so I called to get prices and of course they did cost less, but the girl on the phone was a total B-WORD. I really don't understand how they stay in business? They are rude as hell, and the office is so dirty and smells so bad. Goes right along with the attitude of the staff. I would suggest going to another vet then this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

very reasonable....

by pet owner , 05/04/2010

love this vet, but the staff need an attitude adjustment, or at least put on a smiling face with the clients. they get your business done, but seem to be grumpy with everyone. ladies, saying please, or thank you or how can i help you with a smile won't kill you. if you're too stressed, maybe work somewhere else? us pet owners are already stressed when we come in with our pets, a smile would go a long way. thanks.

The Best Place to Go

by satisfied customer , 11/07/2009

I have been going to Brookside for the last 20 years. I have never been to such an incredible place. I feel like family and I would never trust my loved animals to anyone else. When I first started to go to Brookside Karma's dad John was the Vet. He was amazing with my pets (which are part of the family) and always very concerned. When he retired his daughter came on board (Karma) and she is just wonderful. I just love how she always remembers me and my animals. All the staff are always very gentle and caring and they are so knowable with every problem and situation. My mother travels 50 miles just to take her dog to Brookside. She knows that there is no other place that will take care of her loved one as well as they do. Along with great service they have the most reasonable prices and I never feel like my pocket book and been emptied when I leave. As with many you would pay anything to have your pets happy and healthy. Thank you for being there and thank you for caring!!!

My husband and I feel wonderful taking our pets to Karma Taylor and her staff. They treat everyone as wonderful old friends young and old alike. Their prices and more than reasonable compare to others. Karma has given us great advice on the cat and it's special problems. The dog is very well taken care of while recovering from a car accident. We call Karma our Veterinarian Extraordinaire!

Always a good experience - for owners and pets.

Most caring Veterinarian and staff

by krayons , 01/27/2008

Dr Karma Taylor and her staff are very caring. We like the way our pets are taken care of there!######Karma is so gentle in handling our sick critter family members. She studies, listens, and watches how the owner handles their pet. She makes eye contact with both owner and critter. As she works with our pet she calls them by the same loving expressions we use. She gives her 100% plus to you and your pet during your visit. She and her staff are committed to getting our pet back into our home as soon as possible.######The office is generally very busy with appointments, emergencies and walk ins. But the special care out weighs the time waiting.######The staff is pet friendly as they handle paper work, phones and pets. There are several cats wondering around, greeting humans and their critters. Their cats sit on the desk or in the staff's laps to make sure their furry friends are being taken care of appropriately. Costs are fair. ######What more can I say - they are all wonderf
