Tony Mixx initially became interested in recording audio back in the 1980’s in Seattle he purchased his first 4-track tape recorder and mixer began recording local artists and bands. Tony Mixx would also promote events and DJ clubs in the Seattle and Northwest region. He worked with Sir-Mix-A-Lot as a DJ and in the studio while he recorded platinum hits.

Tony Mix received audio production, radio/TV engineering while attending Nathan Hale High School in Seattle. Tony has worked as an on air announcer for over 10 years at KRIZ, C89FM and KBOO radio station in Portland, OR. He has owned a studio for over 20 years and recorded / mixed / mastered most genres and some major Grammy Award winning artists including Bizzy Bone, Bizarre of D12, Snoop, Mac Dre, Lil Moe and many others.

Currently Tony is a producer/engineer at one of the most popular studios in Las Vegas, Brickhouse Studios Las Vegas. He also is an instructor at Sam Ash music store where he assists beginning musician and recording artists on how to record and produce music. I teach everything from acoustics and critical listening, to microphone design and placement, to digital audio workstations pperation and installation. I currently teach classes for Pro Tools and Logic Pro for people interested in learning how to create and compose music in the Las Vegas area.

While the technological side of the music industry has changed dramatically in the past 10years, I have had to stay on the cutting edge of that technology to maintain my ability to compete with others in the music industry. Since the development of digital audio, the way in which we go about making records (CDs) has completely changed. The basics are the same, but the techniques of how audio can be manipulated have changed drastically. I believe that these changes happening during my own development as an engineer has helped me to become a premier recording, editing, mixing and mastering engineer in Las Vegas and worldwide.
