Provided by YP.comI found out suddenly that my cat had a rare form of cancer and short of heroic measures, that would probably prove futile, there was nothing to do but put her down. Dr. Tyszko called me on a Saturday, clearly and kindly laid out my options and walked me through possible scenarios. She was patient and caring as I came to terms with the information I was being given.
When the day came, the staff at Boyd Lake were amazing. They were comforting and kind. Dr. Doherty gave me a hug, made sure my cat was comfortable and provided me with plenty of time with her. When it was done, he gave me another hug and commiserated with me briefly before leaving me alone to say final goodbyes.
A few days later I received a handwritten note from both of the vets at the office.
Excellent vet center, would highly recommend it.

Provided by YP.comI love the vet clinic here!! I've been going to them for many years now and they have been wonderful. Dr. Tyszko has been great to me and our pets, she makes follow up calls and has even given me info on our pets that they do not see (our chickens) when one was hurt. Since I've been taking my pets here, I have never even considered another vet! Highly recommended :)

Provided by YP.comI like to board my pet here but I always come back to charges that were not approved by me nor my spouse. They never try to work with you and do not have decent communication. If my pet is going to see a vet I want to know then not when I get back.

Provided by SuperpagesWhere else can you take your 4 legged babies and feel happy that they are in great hands. We get to the corner of boyd lake and my dog knows where he is. He runs threw the front door straight to the doggie daycare door. You can watch your animals from inside the clinic and I love it. There is always someone petting, playing or interacting with the animals. You are even offered doggie daycare if they are boarding. My dog is so tired when he comes home I know he had plenty of exercise while he was there. This is a great place for your animals to be while you are out of town. There are tours so you can see where your animals will be and this is offered before you ever make your reservations. A+

Provided by YP.comPlease don't take your animal to this groomer. Diane is very pushy with the animals. She doesn't do anything to make the animal feel special. She doesn't do anything to comfort them. I think that Diane has a very rude attitude. This was the worst grooming experience ever.

My golden retriever is a member of the family, and deserves to be pampered too when the family takes a vacation. We can't always take the dog with us, so when we need to board him, he always goes to Boyd Lake Vet. He gets to play all day, can swim, get a haircut (and get updated with his shots!), and loves, loves, loves going there.Thank you to the great staff at Boyd Lake Vet: they answer all my questions and concerns, and always with a smile. BLVC is truly my dog's extended family!

Provided by SuperpagesA great facility: my dog loves daycare at Boyd Lake Vet, he can't wait to get there. Highly recommend: and they gave me a tour of the entire facility before I ever signed up for daycare: including the surgery room, showed me the x-ray machine, the extra large kennels... They don't just let the dogs out to fend for themselves, there's always a person outside with them, many times more than one person to watch them! Love it!

I have been a client at Boyd Lake Vet Center for over 5 years. My dog literally drags me to the door and doesn't even wait for me to say goodbye before he runs to the back to go out for Doggy Daycare. While boarding, I know that if I choose not to have extra playtime my dog will be outside for at least 2 hours a day regardless. And to top it off, I can have my dog vaccinated and groomed before he comes home! I love it!

Provided by YP.comAs a proud owner of two Schnauzers we recently took our dogs to the groomer at Boyd Lake Veterinary Center. We asked the groomer to cut a full Schnauzer cut ie: skirt , full legs, chest and beard but a little shorter than the norm due to our outdoor activities. When we picked them up we were in shock, she had cut all the skirt etc. off except beard and argued, that's what we asked for and her comments were, before she hung up on us, "you may not think they look good now, but it will grow again". After two visits and calls regarding a refund, Boyd Lake have not had the curtesy to call us back. Highly recommend you find a groomer who listens to what you want and does not do it her way!!I
