Description

BlackStone is locally owned by four longtime Iowa City residents. Our partners own or are affiliated with: Donnelly's, Joe's Place, Red's Alehouse, and the Sycamore Pizza Ranch. BlackStone is managed by one of the owners, Erik Shewmaker. The Executive Chef, Tracy Tonning, ensures high quality food using the freshest ingredients available.

Being an independent restaurant allows BlackStone the flexibility of changing many things within our restaurant based on several factors, especially customer feedback. To keep our food exciting, we change our menu twice a year and offer bi-weekly dinner specials.

BlackStone is a great place for your next big event. We have private dining rooms that can seat up to 60 guests and a game room that can seat 30 guests. The private dining rooms feature a large plasma television and is perfect for business events, reunions and rehearsal dinners. The game room features bar height tables, a pool table, and lounge area. It is perfect for your next birthday party or office get together.
