BKBM Engineers ( Bakke, Kopp, Ballou, and McFarlin) is a multi-discipline, professional engineering firm committed to excellence in design, on-schedule project completion and exceeding customer expectations. BKBM earned a national reputation for innovative design solutions and proactive project management. Our expertise includes structural, civil, restoration, and industrial engineering services. The award-winning firm was established in 1967, and is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Our structural staff has expertise in a wide range of project types such as residential buildings, recreational/park facilities, office buildings, education/academic buildings, government buildings, libraries, medical/healthcare facilities, retail buildings, manufacturing/warehouse buildings, churches/worship facilities, correctional facilities, industrial facilities, parking structures, and skyways. We also perform forensic investigations and special structural inspections during construction.

The civil services we offer include site engineering and conceptual planning. We have experience with public and private development including specialization in industrial and railroad.

Our restoration staff has expertise in evaluation and rehabilitation of concrete, masonry, steel, and timber structural systems and facades. We have restored several buildings listed on national and regional historic registers.
