Small, limited selection, and high prices. Theres a huge pancake selection but yet the organic selection is overpriced and slim pickings. Why cant we bring Stop and Shop here?! It would bring the prices down and give people a option.

Always have had great service at this store, the staff is helpful, the food is of good quality and the prices are reasonable. The only thing I'd like to see is more vegan and natural foods (me being vegan and all) like Amy's, Field Roast and Gardein brands, but seeing as it is in Stafford Springs, I have some doubt that vegan foods would be in high demand.

Otherwise, very satisfied.

High Prices, Poor Selection, and Bad Management

The first issue with this store is the prices, and the lack of competition at this one keeps them this way(the CO-OP isn't much competition anymore sadly.) All other major grocery chains are 30 minutes away, and they have lower prices too.

Another big issue is the lack of selection. I've had to order some things online(like the Reach Flosser) because this store refuses to carry some popular name brand items, and this brings us into bad management.

My aunt and grandmother(many others most likely) had to fight for some holiday buns they carried in past years, but decided against it this year. Once they manager relented they flew off the shelves. Another thing is a good brand of sweet potato chips is almost never in stock, but there are rows of a salty version that no one likes(too salty and that hides the flavor.) A good manager would be buying less of those, and more of the other.

Yet that doesn't happen. My mom wandered in the store after work for an item needed for dinner, and saw the worst sight. The store had a bunch of dust floating around. Now, it's in the middle of reconstruction; yet they are staying open during it. If there is going to be a health hazard like that the manager heeds to close the store. People with asthma or any other breathing condition could be affected by that.

The last thing I want to mention is meat. All of their cuts are terrible. One is very lucky to get one that is not tough. Yes, I know how to cook meat, and I have to hammer out the London Broil for my grandmother to fix it. Once my parents went to the other Big Y we noticed the meat being nice and tender without having to use one(the way it should be.)
