Nice views, close to beach by Jay - 10/24/2007This is a huge hotel and was fairly crowded when we were there during spring break. However, the views on the ocean side are pretty good and it was a short walk to the beach. The beach was lovely--room for long walks and a good view of the lighthouse. Unfortunately, we would not recommend the breakfast restaurant. It was not crowded when we went, but the service was amazingly bad. I only got one cup of coffee because the waitperson didn't bring me a second cup when I asked and then vanished completely until our food came. The toast did not come with pats of butter, but was "pre-buttered" with something that didn't taste anything like butter. I don't remember the specific problems with each person's meals, but we were all disappointed. Sounded good on the menu, however. We had the impression they were very short-staffed and not supplied with the right food.
