The Best Buy in Saint Cloud is...

The Best Buy in Saint Cloud is DISHONEST

On October 14, 2011, I purchased the new iPhone 4S and paid $799. I purchased the unlocked 32GB model. The price was $50 more than what Apple retail price is for an unlocked phone. I was told that the price of the iPhone at Best Buy is the same price as the Apple store. This was not true for the NO-CONTRACT iPhone

Also, I traded my existing phone in, and received credit for the new iPhone that I purchased. The evening before going to the store to purchase the iPhone, I went to BestBuy.com to see what the trade in value would be for my phone. The website listed $83 for my phone, but when I went to Best Buy I was told by the cellular phone representative, Craig, that the phone was only worth $76. I told him that the BestBuy.com website had estimated $83. He told me that they could not give me the same price, and that they would only give me $76 for my trade

I find that the Best Buy Associates are extremely dishonest and will say anything to get you to purchase products from them.

Example: They will try to sell you their protection plan on any product they sell, and will attempt to convince you that their protection plan is superior to the manufactures extended protection.

For instance, the Apple products such as the iPhone has a 90 day phone support, and one-year parts and labor coverage. Best Buy will try to sell you their protection, which does not include phone support by Apple trained technicians. Yes, they tell you that you can come into the store and someone will help you.

They will do anything and everything to sell you their protection.

If you don't believe me, contact Apple at 800-275-2273 , and compare the two plans.

BE SMART AND CONTACT APPLE FIRST.

BEST BUY IS EXTREMELY DISHONEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apple Products

Hello

For anyone who is in the process of purchasing an APPLE COMPUTER. Even though Best Buy is supposedly not a commissioned based Retailer, they will do try to get you to purchase a protection plan on any apple computer you buy. I would like to say that it sounds good, but this protection plan will not give you technical support in the event that you need help. Technical support is EXTREMELY important if you are new to MAC's. When a person purchases an apple computer it will come with 90-day's of technical support, and 1-year of parts, labor, and include the shipping cost. Apple is EXTREMELY quick when repairs need to be done. If you do not live near a certified apple repair facility, they will send you an empty box with prepaid shipping labels to your home. You will contact FedX and they will pick up your package. You will be surprised when your repaired computer is retuned to your home two or three days later.

The warranty that the Best Buy employee will try to sell you will in-fact cover you if you are careless and drop it on the ground or spill coffee on it. Truly, what are the chances that you will be this careless with your computer where you will need this type of protection.

I have no idea how the Best Buy employees are paid, but they are extremely pushy on selling their protection plans.

As a closing statement, I will certainly say that I have enjoyed every purchase with Best Buy, but I am completely against them pushing their extended service plans over the APPLE-CARE protection plan offered directly through apple. Also, you do not have to purchase the Apple-Care protection plan immediately. You do however, need to purchase it before the 1-year complimentary protection plan expires.

Best Buy - Worst Service

I would definitely not recommend going to best buy to purchase anything. They have horrible customer service and the workers don't know the products they are trying to sell at all.

Best Buyers Beware

I've been very disappointed with the sales tactics at Best Buy, especially as they relate to the extended warranty and service agreements. I've realized the associates are willing to say whatever necessary to have you consider paying extra for product protection, but if you ask them to validate their statements with the language in the contract, you quickly realize they don't know what the contract really says. Read the contract before buying...the contract will always win, regardless of what a sales associate tells you.

unbelieveable selection

I enjoyed their selection of television series on DVD and I have purchased some there as I can't find them elsewhere. You can find a bargin if you look
