Bender Environmental Consulting, Inc. (BEC) was established to better serve clients by providing Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessment services, remedial actions, and regulatory compliance in a cost-effective, timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality. BEC’s primary office is located in Tempe, Arizona, less than 20 minutes to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and downtown Phoenix.
As a firm with professional geologist registrations in the states of Arizona and California, BEC’s technical staff has always maintained high professional standards required as registrants. As long-term residents of Arizona, we have strong ties to our local communities, the State of Arizona, and the Southwest. We depend heavily on our reputations within the community and our relationships with clients to succeed. As your environmental consultant, our primary concern is the successful completion of your environmental projects in a manner which best meets your objectives. During the completion of any project, whether it is a Phase I or Phase II ESA, a remedial action, or any other scope of work, we will strive towards completing the project within budget, on time, and meeting or exceeding the appropriate State, Federal, or industry standards. Our goal is to perform at a level that encourages repeat business from clients and referrals to new clientele.
Our commercial business, property development, bank or lending institution clients are acutely aware that costs associated with environmental consulting are often a significant factor in a business loan or as an operating cost. As a small business with low overhead, BEC is able to offer most of the same services as “big-name” engineering and environmental consulting firms at considerable cost savings. Although some costs are relatively fixed (e.g. laboratory, drilling, and waste disposal services), BEC labor costs are significantly lower. For example, a typical Phase I ESA completed by BEC will cost approximately 20 to 30 percent less than the cost of most “main-stream” consulting firms, and be conducted by a senior-level environmental professional, registered in the State of Arizona, instead of being relegated to inexperienced staff-level personnel.
