Disappointment by judymt - 02/13/2009I have the same experience as above and would characterize Bellco as arrogant. They think they are doing consumers a favor by allowing them to bank there? They brag about being in business 17 years and put themselves on a proud pedestal (as if on some moral high ground) because they are +member owned+? This is only good PR. After continued problems they spoke in a condescending way saying I +had to trust+ them that these problems do not happen and they do provide good service. I found it arrogant that they were oblivious to the idea that they needed to earn trust. Instead they thought it just should be granted to them?
As difficult as it can be to bank with a large bank I would much prefer that to the one-sided relationship bellco wants with their account holders. I would say that it is because of business like bellco that organizations, executives and managers have such a bad reputation with the general public --- are all PR, platitudes and self service.
