Becketwood is an independent living cooperative community in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Since opening in 1986, we have provided our Member owners in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area with distinctive living.

Located on 12 beautiful acres of wooded land along the Mississippi River gorge, Becketwood is within 15 minutes of both downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul and the airport. Combining natural beauty with an urban location, Becketwood is the ideal place for active, independent people who enjoy the best of the Twin Cities.

Our facilities are designed to foster community through a number of different informal gathering areas. Located throughout Becketwood are a library, coffee shop, solarium, dining room, party rooms and outdoor patios – all conducive to active social engagement. Furthermore, we offer a range of living options with 14 different floor plans that include studios, 1, 2, and 3 Bedroom Units, which allow for flexibility and variety in our individual memberships.

In addition to the features described above, Becketwood has a fitness center, game room, craft center, workshop, pantry, barber/beauty shop, guest rooms, chapel, garden plots, custom landscaping including Fernwood Glen – a rain garden, bird sanctuary, 24 hour security and emergency call system, housekeeping, coin free laundry facilities, and heated underground parking.
