If you want to get into a mess with collectors for months for a mistake from your landlord, rent from Beach Front... In in our case, suddenly have the ownership of the apartment complex transfer to them.

They charged us two months rents AFTER we left. One for the month after we left!! And the other for when the property was sold and they had a mistake in balances transfer from the old owner. And even worse, we were never contacted about this until the collectors started harassing us! And to make it even worse, there is pretty much no communication with them, I managed to get the email of the person in charge (Carolyn Easley), and I had to email her daily for more than a week to get almost one word responses asking for a ton of paperwork. And after that, I had to do the daily emails again!

I'm having to leave my work now and visit them in the office to just get this sorted out! It's so insane, and if it doesn't get fixed very soon, we'll probably take them to court.

The owner managed the property when we moved it then he turned it over to Beachfront. The first thing is the bureaucracy of Beachfront, our maintenance requests went from a couple days to two months. While the maintenance person is at your unit, if other items have broken in the interim, he cannot fix them. You have to submit another maintenance request. Maintenance items went from same day fixes to multiple day fixes because of missing items or wrong sized replacements. From your specific appointment time, they average 90 minutes after the time you are asked to be home by Beachfront. I am the landlord of property I manage myself and know that our property management cannot pop up on the property without prior notification. The property manager came unannounced, entered and requested to do the annual inspection right in the moment. Further, the year the owner turned management over to Beachfront, he increased the rent and it increased each year of Beachfront's management.

Get it in writing!

After renting from Beach front property for 10 years i decided to buy a house...

I was told by the Lanlord in charge of my property that i shouldnt worry and that i would get my entire deposit back which was well over 1000.00. Well after waiting for 4 weeks for the check to my suprise they had held over a 900.00 for what they said were damages...the property was left in decent shape there was of course normal wear and tear...they charged me to remove an item from the back yard that is still there to this date...for damaging lanscape that was never there and a few other petty things. the propert had several different property managers during my stay that promised different things that never happened...and now i wish i would have gotten everything in writing and maybe i wouldnt have lost my deposit.
