Our Bayern Brewsletter is designed to inform the public and keep customers in the know about the brewery and our beer. We encourage you to download/print and share them with people who might be interested in learning about our high-quality craft beers, their history and their production.

Check out the current issue of our brewsletter, featuring a story about Oktoberfest, the biggest beer festival in the world, and our authentic beer style. Also, the event/fundraiser held in August to celebrate the one millionth bottle of Dancing Trout.

In the Spring 2009 Edition, you can learn the history of how Maibock came to be the traditional spring-opener for the beer garden season. Also, information about Bayern's new web store.

In our Winter 2008/09 edition, we told the story of how Jürgen invented the "Irish Red" beer style and included a special announcement about a new beer style being offered in bottles!

In our Fall 2008 edition of the Brewsletter, we included the history of the doppelbock beer style and our newest introduction to the beer world: Face Plant Weizenbock.

Bayern Brewing began in Missoula, Montana, in 1987. We are proud to be the only German brewery in the Rocky Mountains. Owner and Brewmaster, Jürgen Knöller, is a German Diploma Master Brewer. He began brewing in 1978 at age 16. The education that he received in Germany was a rigorous and lengthy one. It took eight years to advance from apprentice to journeyman to Master brewer. He focuses on quality and is truly dedicated to his profession. Combine his education, experience and personal dedication and you have amazing beer.
