DO NOT GO TO THIS VET!!!! especially for a surgery that needs to be done on your pet. Within 4-5 days of a simple surgery on my dogs leg it got infected because they didn't close AND bandage it correctly. I had to go back a second time for them to put a new bandage on which they charged me for and didnt even put a new one on. It was already falling down again as soon as i got home. And to top it off they wanted to charge me for the antibiotics and everything needed to take care of it when it was the vets mistake. When I showed a little bit of discomfort in having to pay for everything (because it was the vets fault it was infected)the vet immediately said I need to go

find a different vet because he would not help me. What?! So now I have to let my dog walk around the house dripping blood from his infected leg till I find a better vet can help me. Hopefully a vet that actually cares about the well being of the animals and with a satisfied clientele.

worst vet experience ever

"I recommend xrays and blood work but u look like u cnt afford it " dr ferro wonderful quote of the day this guy totally racially profiled me the level of care u give to a animal should not be determined by what the vet thinks he can get out of you

Dexter, my 10 year old pomeranian, scared the heck out of me today. He got sick and then he could not breath and he fell over in the hall. He was struggling so bad to breath so I quick looked up the closest vet to me and it was Barclay Hills Veterinary Clinic here in Oregon City.

I grabbed up Dexter and his health records and drove over there with my stupid chains on my car. I flew in the door with him and let them know I did not have an appointment and they were so calm and were like no problem and lead me to a room.

The Vet named Amanda was awesome. She assured me that I was not being a freak and that he had a cold and his lungs sounded a bit heavy. She suctioned his nose and put him on two antibiotics. The whole thing cost me $88.40. So reasonable, I was expecting $300 at least.

Dex has a new vet and I could not be more happy. He is home doing much better now. Had his meds and some rice and is happily sleeping. Not at all what I expected today.

My girlfriend an I had a horrible experience yesterday here. She had made our 2 dogs and 2 cats a appointment for physical an shots. We arrived 30 minutes early and was not acknowledged when entering. It had been a while since being in and was not aware the staff ignored and don't greet you until you come up to desk and speak first. After waiting 20 minutes went up and said we had a 4 o'clock appointment. She asked name and info on pets. then said wait until called. After waiting in waiting area for a hour after checking instill no call and now after 5pm. Asked when we will be called as we have been waiting almost a hour and a half. They said " I don't know !!!! " We asked how long in the room till a doctor? " I don't know!" Will it be 30 minutes a hour ? What? " maybe !"

I was appalled by the lack of care and compassion by their staff and front desk staff. We would have been ok if had been greeted and kept up on reason behind.. did they have a emergency fill in ? late staff? over booked? unexpected situations with pets seen before ours? But NO.... No concern about us or our pets. I was turned off by their unprofessionalism, lack of compassion, rudeness. It is sad as in past had good experiences here ,but after the experience yesterday I WILL NEVER USE Barclay Hills Animal Clinic again , and NEVER recommend them either.. If there back staff is as good as their front staff, I wonder how they stay in business or how the pets are cared for entrusted to them. Very saddened..

Happy Customer

I gave 4 stars because I haven't been to enough vets to determine if service was excellent but what I will say is I will be back. My dog has an ear infection and earflap hematoma, the cost for services here were about 40% less than the clinic near my home. The quality of care is more than acceptable. The staff here are very friendly and caring, they are attentive to your needs. I think they deserve 4 and a half stars. Thank you Barclay Hills.

Great Care for Fair Price

My Family has been going to this clinic for years. Dr. Ferro is the best. The other doctors there are ok but I always ask for Dr. Ferro as he really knows his stuff. They don't over charge and I am usually able to get in right away.

Caring and Competent

Regular care is stressed. It has kept our cats and dogs healthy through their lives.###The docs have alway been straightforward about the animals needs. They have also been supportive to us when the diagnosis was not good.
