The first thing we do when someone enters the store is greet them and ask if we may help them find something. If we have several customers in at a time it is hard to help them all at once. To my knowledge we don't have anything that says unavailable because we sell our display items. We do have some cribs in the back rooms that may only be used as display cribs. They say "not for sale" or "display only", if we can reorder them to comply with the new Government regulations. The non compliant cribs may not be sold OR donated to charity. We use them for display only instead of throwing them away. (What a waste!) If we have a critical customer we may get defensive which could be interpreted as less than pleasant. I am sorry you did not feel welcome in our store. We love to meet and greet people, and of course hope to be able to help them find what they are looking for. I have had a few customers that have been sent in by family members to pick out furniture and since the expectant mother has already chosen something elsewhere, of course she would not want to find a substitute for what she really wants. This could lead to criticism of what we have to offer. We wish we could please all of our customers all the time but that is rarely possible.

As a Store we try to greet all our customers as they come in the store. Usually we ask them if we can help them find something. If the customer says yes we try to help them find what they are looking for. If they say they are just looking we try to check in with them after a while to see if they have questions about anything. We try to be helpful but not hover by them. If several people come in at the same time we have to take turns helping them.
