Over many years, we have asked Ray to fix all of our major appliances, washer, dishwasher, stove, refrigerator and furnace. I trust his judgment and advise since he was always trying to do the best and most cost effective solutions based on his long experience in the industry. Once, he even made a part to replace a filter that was no longer available for the furnace. He has consistently gone the extra mile mining resources to find parts to fix things. Our latest problem is my 43 year old Kitchen Aid dishwasher. Ray told us the most likely solution over the phone and my husband is off to get the part. Ray is an incredible resource. You will be fortunate to get his services for whatever appliance issue you are having.

Do not use!

DON"T USE! I used B & R for oven repair, which was barely managed after lost parts and guesswork. When my my washer broke and I was referred a man by Sears, I went into it not knowing it was the same company. I knew what was wrong when I spoke with his wife on the phone and asked if he could order the part before coming out, she said no, but that it would be $28.50 for his diagnostic to make sure he got the right part, 82.50 for the the first service visit and $80hr after that. Long story short, he came, I realized then who he was but thought perhaps the first experience was a fluke, so after 15 minutes he diagnosed the problem I already knew we had, told me it was a complicated fix and he was going to have to take washer top off and apart since it was a 'very complicated model'. I was very uncomfortable with this explanation and his previous work and after he left did my homework, I found it was simple access to repair. When I called and tried to compensate service rendered and parts his wife was extremely hostile and informed that she never quoted me diagnostic price, and that I owed full service charge. After 10 minutes of trying to explain what agreement we had discussed over the phone, I realized she would never admit to having said any price but a full repair, and that I would never trust her husband to do the repair or come back in my home I ended the call with her telling me I would receive the bill for the full service amount. I have no problem compensating his few minutes in my home, despite the fact that it was a redundant diagnostic, I didn't mind compensating for the part he ordered, but I am very upset that it seemed so routine to them to play the heavy hand in getting money for services not rendered, and him complicating a job into far more time and money than is necessary. (Although for his part he might honestly just not know how to do the repair which is even more worrisome trusting your appliance with him) I will NEVER go back!
