Alternative veterinary medicine includes traditional Chinese medicine (acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine), chiropractic adjustments, nutritional therapy and homeopathy. Additional practices at Aulternatives include essential oil therapy, laser therapy, kinesiology (muscle testing), bio-resonance therapy, NAET (allergy elimination therapy), Western herbal medicine, sound therapy, and Pulsed Signal Therapy. Aulternatives is an out-patient practice, which means we don't board or hospitalize animals. We do have in-office diagnostic capabilities for blood chemistry, hematology, thyroid function testing, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also perform conventional physical examinations, vaccinations as needed, vaccine antibody titers, and may dispense pharmaceutical medications if required.

Dr. Shauna Ault graduated from Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. She practiced conventional medicine and surgery for small and large animals for several years, before pursuing advanced training in holistic medicine.
