Bulk herbs and homeopathics - great by E. Pep - 05/03/2008Contains a comprehensive bulk herbs department, along with plenty of homeopathic meds and chinese herbs. The cheeses are labeled to suit vegetarians as well (thankfully!). The co-op is careful about stocking foods that don't have harmful substances. I appreciate it as it saves me some work.
Admittedly, the co-op has far less than Whole Foods in the Bay Area, however, I find just about everything I want, even obscure things, and without the Whole Foods high price. I've heard that the bulk herbs we have are more than can be found in natural stores in the Portland area.
Emphasis on Healthy organic products by senior - 10/22/2007Ashland Food Cooperative has a fine deli and a sandwich bar. The grocery is a great selection of "green" products, products that are organic. Nice selection of bulk grains and flours. Good wine selection.
