Superior Work and Professionalism by The Oppenheimer Family - 11/11/2009
Thanks to Robert and his crew, my family and I now live in a home surrounded by the yard of our dreams. Working with Robert was a joy. I was able to describe to him our needs and issues with the current yard and ideas for changes and he not only quickly understood the vision but was able to make critical contributions that enable the work to move quickly and successfully. They installed multiple basalt rock lined beds, moved plants and added new plantings. Modified our existing drip irrigation system to reach new beds, plants and containers. They installed two beautiful flagstone pathways and extended an existing flagstone patio. They also revamped existing beds and pathways to make them more suitable for use. Every time we look out the windows at our yard we smile with joy. Every time we walk the pathways around our home we are more pleased than ever. We have signed on to have Robert do maintenance for us and I am planning to have him come back to work on additional installati

Complete Yard Makover by Irene Little - 10/06/2009
Atristic Landscapes did such a wonderful job redoing my backyard and patio I had them continue around the house redoing both sides and the frontyard. A complete irrigation system was installed, rock walls, a variety of new plants, a paver driveway and a beautiful curved paver walkway to the front door. This complete makeover has received many, many compliments. Robert and his crew are very reliable, hard workers, and I will HIGHLY RECOMMEND Articstic Landscapes to anyone.

Robert redesigned our backyard for us and did a fantastic job, incorporating my suggestions but also offering his own, particularly on recommending the right plants and irrigation system. He is extremely professional, always calls if he will be late and is reliable and easy to work with. I have given him other small projects and no doubt will continue to do so. He now does maintenance and I appreciate his attention to detail. I highly recommend his services.

I have tried several times to submit my review, but continue to have problems!!! But I will keep trying as I want everyone to know what a fantastic job Bob and his crew did for us! He overhauled our entirelarge yard, which is very large!! New trees, beautiful flowers and shrubs, ect!! Bob is wonderful to work with, always available, he actually listens and understands what it is your looking to achieve!! Again, my husband are absolutely thrilled with our new yard!!!!!!!

Artistic Landscapes Transformed Our Yard! by C Jackson - 05/26/2009
We contacted Robert with Artistic Landscapes after watching a neighbor's yard transform overnight, and getting a superb recommendation from them. Robert and his crew lived up to this reputation of great comments already posted on this website. They did an amazing amount of clean-up for our triple sized city lot that had not been well-tended for the last eight years, including carting away five truckloads of yard debris and junk, and going the extra mile to transplant trees and shrubs that had never had a home in their prior location, delivered excess garden pots to our local nursery, and planting of numerous bulbs in the process. They went way above and beyond the call to mulch the entire yard according to our scheduling needs at the expense of their usual day off! We are very finicky about pruning, and Robert was very sensitive to our wishes. Our Japanese Maples look beautiful, particularly helpful were the morning walk throughs of the days projects. I hardly ever write these kinds of reviews online, but I was so pleased with the work of Bob Kinsey that I felt compelled to let others know what a find he is. From the beginning, Bob was very responsive to my calls. He also provides excellent guidance and options to his customers. I didn't know exactly what I wanted for a hedge at first, and Bob did his best to try to understand what I roughly envisioned. He made great recommendations that would not only work well in the space but also suit my style. Bob and Carlos worked fast and diligently. I only wished I would have had more treats on hand to reward them for a job that exceeded my expectations. I am so glad to have found someone trustworthy and hardworking that I will call on in the future for all my landscaping needs.

We have used Artistic Landscapes for 3 different types of jobs; overhauling our severely overgrown yard, maintain our yard, and work on re sodding/improving our yard.When we bought our house, the owners before had not done ANY upkeep of trees / shrubs in the 3 years they owned it. Artistic gave a very professional presentation and came in with a very appropriate bid. We hired them and they came in on budget and on time. They answered all questions and worked to please us every step of the way.When we decided to resod our lawn, we went to Artistic. They gave us an excellent quote. They proved a willingness to work with us and to break out the jobs. They went above our expectations and helped us stretch our dollar to its full extent. With the Oregon weather, they had to delay the start of the project but this was always cleared in advance and when they got to our house, they actually came in under the quoted time. The yard looks wonderful, and I would endorse them to anyone.

We use Artistic Landscapes for both projects and routine maintenance. We have used other landscape contractors in the past and have been disappointed, either because we didn't get what we expected or weren't served in a timely manner.

Artistic always takes the time to explain what work will be done, how it will be done, when it will be done, and what it will cost. They are conscientious about completing the work and billing within established budget. Work has been done promptly and in the case of any delays due to inclement weather or scheduling conflicts, we are always called in advance and put on notice.

Artistic takes pride in its work, usually goes 'above and beyond' to be sure we're satisfied. Costs are reasonable, results good, no surprises, overbilling, or 'upselling'. Careful to make pratical, simple recommendations that don't 'break the bank'. Impeccable clean-up too!

They were referred to us by a neighbor and I would recommend them to you without reservation!

Quality workmanship / Superior service / Great price by tmills - 11/11/2008
Look no further...you won't be disapointed!

Bob has done two projects for us and is our go-to resource for landscaping / irrigation needs. Most recently, we had a crack in a PVC fitting off our city water meter. Water was squirting out and we shut the water off to avoid an expensive water bill. I called Bob the evening I discovered the water leak and he was out early the next morning. What has impressed me is his SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Before he began our project he let us know exactly what was to be done and then kept us informed every step of the way (via phone and in-person). The project was completed WITHIN BUDGET AND ON-TIME. His work is VERY PROFESSIONAL and the job-site was CLEAN when completed.

A number of jobs by niab - 11/08/2008
Bob and his excellent crew have done a number of jobs for me on different properties.
From clearing out overgrown plants and brush to planting new shrubs to working on irrigation systems.
Bob has built stone walls and fences, made pathways out of stone, created play areas for kids with barkchip...all with outstanding results.
Also, Bob maintains several properties for me on a weekely basis by mowing and making sure the yards look good.
He is good at offering ideas as the projects go along. He has good creative skills in landscaping so don't hesitate to ask him for advise.
From start to finish on every job, Bob and his crew have preformed with professionalism and I recommend them to all.

Flagstone Patio Install by Batou - 11/05/2008
Project consisted of demolishing an old, untreated pine deck and installing a raised-bed flagstone patio. The old deck was taken down and hauled in less than three days, and the area was cleaned down to the dirt. He consulted with us on the proposed new patio layout, materials, and overall design approach. He prepared a detailed estimate, and included design features (like drainage) I hadn't thought of. He also proposed alternate materials, designs, and made sure we knew what he would be doing. Visible progress on the project every day, and at the end of each day the area was cleared and tools stored. Total project took just under three weeks, and right on budget. No surprises during work. And we are totally, 100% satisfied, in fact, delighted with the result. My absolute highest recommendation - the best I have ever dealt with!

I hired Bob to do an extensive landscaping job on my home. He installed a 10 zone automatic irrigation system that worked perfectly, planted many plants and trees including japanese maples, all which are thriving, but best of all he built 4 free form rock walls, using no mortar, just picking stones that went together like leggos. I had many great comments on these walls, I highly reccomend his work, and his prices are below competetive an important thing in these trying times....Jack Frost
