We are making these available to you for the price of the studio fee, after you have shown proficiency in their use. For more information, click on the open studio link.
Lots and lots and lots of stuff! You can paint a single mug or a whole dinner set. We offer glass mosaics, fusing and casting. Lin, a local artist will be teaching stained glass projects. If you want to come in and make a set of cards or invitations, we have stamps, paper and lots of different cutters.
We charge a studio fee of $8/visit. You may also purchase a monthly pass for $60 which will cover you for 30 days from the date of purchase. Tools and paint are included. Supplies such as the bisque pottery are sold separately pieces start around $2. Silver is sold based on weight and the current value. Glass is priced individually. Just ask for details.
You are welcome to use our shop tools which are included in the studio fee. Eventually you may develop a preference for one kind over another and wish to purchase your own hand tools for glass. I like to have my own set too. We will have then at a reasonable price.
Basic Glass Fusing
If you want to just sit down and make a simple piece, We can teach you the fundamentals without a class. However, we recommend that you take our basic fusing class to learn about the different types of glass, design tips and cutting.
Glass Pendants
Learn how to make beautiful free form glass pendants with add-ins such as copper foil, dichroic slide. You will also learn how to make preset holes for hanging. You will make a total of 3 pendants.
Glass Bar Jewelry
Want to make pieces that dance? On the night of the class, we'll first make a glass bar with multiple layers. We'll play with the torch a little to bend glass to give your pieces dimension. Then we'll demonstrate on a pre-formed bar how to break or cut and polish the pieces so that you will end up with between 10-20 (depending on the sizes you like) glass pieces that can be made into pendants, earrings or bracelets. As these pieces require two trips to the kiln, you will schedule a second day in the studio with some one on one time to cut and polish your pieces.
Fine Silver Pendants
Silver clay is a wonderful medium to work in. Use clay forming tools and simple rubber stamps to design your own beautiful fine silver pendants. This beginner class will show you the fundamentals of working with silver clay from which you can branch into many other areas.
