We had David design and install landscaping around our house and several other places on our property. He did a wonderful job of planning and planting. This is the second year, and things have begun to grow into their spaces beautifully. We love how the property looks around the house now. Having David and his crew come back twice a year to pruneand clean up keeps things looking lovely, year round. We needed and wanted new landscaping out front. David walked us thru his garden to show us what he had in mind for us but also offering alternatives. The same was true upon layout of plants on our property, he was respectful of our input. His team worked hard and the job was done in no time.

This guy writes letters to the editor about how bad he hates ILWU and unions so keep that in mind.

David and his crew did a major renovation of our back yard. What originally started with a minor idea to deal with a soggy backyard ended up in a brand new living area for us thanks to David's artistry and creativity. We couldn't be happier. David is easy to work, reasonable and prompt. I would highly recommend him and his company if you are looking for an artistic, creative and awe inspiring change to your landscape.

David and his team from Artisan Landscapes provided me a much needed complete landscape design and installation service for my yard. He was completely reliable, prompt, and professional in all aspects of the project. He was thoughtful in plant selection and layout, carefully considering color, layering, spacing, lighting, soil, and water conditions. He took my input into consideration and was willing to change the design as work progressed. He took extra time to take me on a tour of his 'budding' nursery near Silver Lake to explain and show me the types of plants he was selecting for my yard. His crew was conscientious, hard working, cleaned up after every day and the yard was left spotless at the end. The project was completed on schedule and within the expected cost. I would hire them again, no question.

I called Pro Landscape Service/Artisan Landscapes in late February or early March. I was interested in tearing out my weed grass-infested front lawn and installing a new one.The owner, David McAlister, made an appointment to look at my yard. He arrived exactly on time, gave me a solid estimate and a couple of good options at a price below what I had anticipated.He had a couple of other jobs ahead of mine, but the weather cooperated and within a couple of weeks he had sprayed my existing lawn in order to kill the grass and weeds. He scheduled an appointment to tear out the old lawn and lay down new turf a couple of weeks later.Despite wet conditions, he and his crew showed up right on time and ripped out my old grass, spread new top soil and laid down new sod that day. They cleaned up extremely well, to the point that you could not tell they had ever been there (aside for the bright green new lawn).Mr. McAlister was great about following up.
