Art Options Gallery and Framing was founded by artist Sue Pavlatos in 1988. The business has grown over the years expanding its products and knowledge in the framing industry and the ever growing technilogical advances in today's world.
Art Options has art for every taste. Through our virtual gallery we provide access to posters and originals by local, regional and international artists. We also carry prints and originals by owner/artist Sue Pavlatos, Amber Darling, and photographs by Ben Carrascas.

We can handle all your matting and framing needs to customize the presentation of your selection from our inventory or to refresh a piece from your existing collection. So whether seeking to personalize your home or work place or looking for a unique gift to commemorate an occasion or just because, our experienced and knowledgeable staff will assist you with choices that will provide long term satisfaction. Art Options has a count of two employees which makes the business simple to work with. The hard work and dedication of the employees makes each order as unique and original as the employees themselves. Art Options is dedicated to providing quality art, matting, framing, and professional service to all their customers.

In addition to the many new prints inspired by the 100th anniversary of the Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge Sue has also come out with a few additions prints in the Elegant Series. The Elegant Series is a small grouping (usually four)of prints based on a particular theme. Most recently, have been the Elegant Sunflowers, Elegant Orange Poppies and the Elegant French Florals - soon to be added to this web site.

Sue Pavlatos is an accomplished artist, a successful business woman, a community activist, wife and mother. She attended the University of Minnesota Duluth and majored in art. Ms Pavlatos was selected "Teacher of the Year" in 1981 by the Duluth Community Schools. She is a Duluth native with an affinity for its people and natural beauty. Her warmth and friendly manner are reflected in the gallery and framing business she established in 1989, Art Options. Art Options moved to its present location in April of 1997. The gallery carries and markets all Sue's prints selected from her original watercolors
Sue works in watercolor, collage, oils and acrylics. Her medium of choice is watercolor. The natural beauty and man made structures of the Northland often provide the subject of her paintings. As Sue says, "Life is a walk in the woods".

Publication of Sue's work has been by Lake Superior Magazine and the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce. Lake Superior Magazine selected the watercolor, Safe Harbor, for the cover of its May 1994 edition. Lake Superiors Crystal Shore, a watercolor, was chosen as their official Christmas card in 1995. Her work appears on the cover of the 1998 Membership Guide and 1998 Newcomer Guide for the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce.
