I was very disappointed when I joined the Army National Guard. The lack of respect and discipline. How harassment and selective enforcement is condoned of. I was in a helicopter mechanic platoon. My platoon Sargent. Was : Sgt. Cabrera. He is a lame duck. When corporal Gonzalez made a gay remark to a Sargent. Instead of Sargent, Cabrera, correcting that individual he was observed laughing with the platoon. This is disrespect . That corporal , Gonzalez should have been written up. Then Corporal Gonzalez kept making stray remarks. This is called: Bullying. Calif. Penal Code: 422.6. Next: Corporal Gonzalez found a police part time in the Army National Guard , to aid and abet, in the hazing. Sgt. Hatfield. Employee of the Sand Diego Police Dept. Aiding and abetting is a violation of: Calif. Penal Code: 31. So request a transfer. The battalion commander . Did not investigate the facts. Sent me to see a psychiatrist. Rather then correct the hazing and harassment. Calif. Gov. Code: 12900. So I went AWOL. Then in the year : 2000. Was given my release. This was after serving in combat active duty fourteen years. Honorably Discharged . Then we saw in the news how the Army National Guard was abusing Iraqi prisoners in Abu Grave. Iraq. Making them pose nude in positions offensive to their beliefs. So the Army National Guard violates the Geneva Convention laws. No respect. No discipline. Corporal Gonzalez was a bus driver in San Diego. After I went AWOL. The battalion commander had her secretary call my house and threatened, and ordered me to come back. To be subject to hazing and harassment. Calif. Gov. Code: 12900. My female friend was almost sexually assaulted by a high ranking officer in Iraq . It was covered up. She was black listed. The high ranking officer got away with it. This is the Army National Guard. Not the reserves. Not like active duty. The battalion commander was a high ranking fat female officer in : Long Beach, Calif. I do not recommend the Army National Guard. To no one. Very piss poor.
