Unprofessional Piano Move by Frustrated Customer - 10/08/2009Had a very bad experience with this piano mover. 30 minutes before the movers were to show up, they raised the rate. They backed their moving truck up the curb and onto the grass in front of the house. The trip down the stairs involved a great deal of R rated cursing in front of my infant daughter and 2 yr old son and ended up with our piano being dropped at the bottom of the stairs, with several large wood splinters flying. Most of the surface damage would ultimately be covered up, but who knows how much other internal damage occurred to this instrument. Our old piano already had surface imperfections, so it’s difficult to say how many of the scratches are new, but I cringe to think about if this had been my sister’s 13k Kawai, much less a true high-end piano. They ultimately ended up repairing the splinter damage and taking another 25 bucks off the fee. Other than the F-bombs and the GD’s, they were fairly personable. The tuning service was affordable and thorough.
