Shipping available throughout the United States and Canada. Offering furnishings reflecting formal, country, and casual decor in the Federal, Empire, Victorian, Arts and Crafts, and Colonial Revival periods.

Ordering & Shipping
We offer a 5% discount to items paid by cash or check. The discount does not apply towards items paid by credit card or lay-aways.

If you are interested in purchasing an item, please call e-mail. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or personal check as payment for merchandise. Everyone must pay the 6% Pennsylvania sales tax unless you have the item delivered outside of Pennsylvania.

About Us
The husband and wife team of Ellen Hughes and George Thompson moved from Fairbanks, Alaska to Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 1989 to pursue their dream of opening a 'not your typical antique shop'. Collectors since childhood, they began their antique business part-time at a local co-op with an emphasis on fine furniture. As their inventory and knowledge grew, they purchased a large commercial building in the historic district of Carlisle. Since 1991, they have been committed to providing the finest and largest selection of 1820's - 1920's formal furniture in southcentral Pa.

Emphasis on education is an important factor at Antiques on Hanover Street. George and Ellen believe in sharing knowledge and expertise, to assist their customers in choosing that one perfect piece of furniture or refine a growing collection. They have been featured in several regional magazines and have won awards for offering unique and fine furnishings. Available 7 days a week, they encourage you to stop and visit their ever changing inventory.
