We consists of 12 independently licensed and managed, locally responsive, community-based public radio stations in Minnesota, and cover nine-tenths of the state's area and 92% of the state's population with signals from member stations.

With a combined audience of nearly 300,000 devoted listeners, IPR is the second largest public radio network in the state of Minnesota and one of the largest public radio networks of its kind in the United States.
