Terrible customer service

Purchased a $6000 tv from American. TV stopped working after 38 days. American refused to replace the tv. They can't send out a repair man for at least 1.5 weeks. So even though we have had the tv for a little over a month, we will now be without a working tv for at least 2 weeks. Unacceptable! Terrible service. Do not buy from American!

American is horrible!!!

We spent $5,000 for the worst customer service in the world.Damaged furniture sent 2 times and when you call the Rockford store with issues the store manager Andy blocks your calls. I am getting a refund that I believe is taking place after contacting the news stations,paper,BBB,Chamber of Commerce and a lawyer. The lawyer is on standby if I do not get my money back early next week.Run as fast as you can do not spend a dime in this store!!!!

I purchased a computer from American. I was having problems making some of the features work on it. I took it back into American, and was told to come back later, because the salesman was to busy. I was the only customer in the department! He then told me, "I am working on another project". He was holding ribbon. Project?? The bottom line is I ALREADY PAID FOR THIS!!! He couldn't make any money off of me and was not even willing to help! Word of advice GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible Service

I went in American to look at Bunk Bed Set for my Daughters. Well I got talked into buying the bunk beds, a couch, and loveseat in return getting the free 50" ?TV and DVD player. So I spent $3800 and am very disappointed with my purchase. When they delivered it, it took 1 month to deliver. Then my loveseat got ripped when they brought it into my house so it took 6 weeks for them to get me another one because of lack of communication on their part from the sales person to customer service. Then the Slats on the top bunk bed broke after a month of haveing the bunk beds. So that took 4 months for them to fix due to lack of communication again. So my couch and love seat after have them for 3 months are so flat like I have had then already 10 years which shouldn't be like that because both were $1000 each. So I would not recommend American to nobody. They don't' back nothing up and give you nothing but problems and just want your money in this poor economy,

Customer Service a thing of the past

I wk ago, rec'd delivery of my kitchen appliances. They were informed that we have LP gas, NOT natural gas, but proceeded to incorrectly hook up my stove. When informed of this, the next date they could "come out to our area" coincided with one that we weren't goin to be home, which then pushed the date back another 5 days. I explained that I needed my stove for a 4th of July party, why can't they simply send a guy out? But no, they don't have any time to do that. They also could not give me Store managers name/number!! Can you imagine? Am I the crazy person here? They took my $ right away, but I didn't get delivery for 10 days, then they make a serious mistake like this. I really got no customer service from ANYONE I spoke to. Sadly disappointed.

All Around Excellence

The sales people were knowledable and helpful. They only showed me what I needed, not what they wanted to sell. I will be returning for my new laundry, as well.
