The American Rental Association is a trade association of more than 7,200 rental business owners, manufacturers and suppliers of rental equipment with members throughout the United States, Canada and in more than a dozen countries around the world. It has the core purpose of advancing the rental industry and to promote the success of its members. It does this through networking among members to market their products, respecting the diversity of member opinions in determining policy, becoming the leading resource for information within the industry and by promoting professionalism in the rental industry. Rental dealers and equipment manufacturers guide the ARA staff in developing business services and products in four key areas -- education and training, advertising and marketing, business development and government representation. The American Rental Association is headquartered in Moline, Ill.
