American Overhead prices are reasonable. The quote over the phone was accurate to the final bill. They left my door clean and in great working order. I would use them again and I have told my friends to use them.
OVERHEAD GARAGE DOOR
by OVERHEAD GARAGE DOOR , 12/31/2012
Overhead Garage Door Company of Colorado Springs is so professional and pleasant. I called for them to give me a tune-up. Mark Zimmerman advised me of a popping I had been hearing for over a month. After talking with him I chose to get a new garage door. He was so professional and knowledgeabe. I just had my new insulated garage door put in this morning. Mike Reese came and installed it. He was prompt and on time. He finished in the time he said he would be done. The garage door looks beautiful. I am so pleased with Overhead Garage people and their products. Their Customer Service is excellent and their service and quality is excellent. On a scale of 1 to 10, I have to give them 10+. I would recommend everyone to deal strictly with Overhead Garage 1205 Ford Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80915. Thank you Overhead Garage Door.
Very Helpful and Honest

I contacted AOD about a falty wired garage door switch/opener. They educated me on how to install the new opener and gave me tips on some issues I was having after it was installed by me. Well, it turned out it was not the switch but the wiring from the switch to the opener. AOD reimbursed me for the switch they sold me. They gave me the wiring and fasteners at no charge to make the repair. Now it works like a charm. I think back and know they could have really taken me for a bath...but they did not... they were honest, that is what makes for good business and trust in a company.George, Monument CO

Unreasonable Charge for Weather Stripping
by Mike , 04/04/2014
February 2014. Called and told them I needed stripping for a 16' door. Would have expected them to have a variety of styles, but did not have much of anything. Next guy shows up without any at all because he wasn't told what he was coming for. Now to the 3rd visit for a ten minute job. The original guy comes back and I help him install it. At $3- per foot I assumed that included installation since it's the cheap stuff (probably $12-15 worth at most). I helped install and it took no more than 10 min. While he's sitting in his truck and doing the bill he asks if I want it lubed. I hesitated because garage doors were already closed and I didn't think it was necessary. But he said it's included in the cost so I said, Ok. He hands me the bill: $48- for Stripping; $5- for Lube; $85 for Labor; and $4.04 tax. Total: $142.04 Talk about adding on! That was outrageous and I told the mgr "Jimmy" the same, when I called to express my dissatisfaction. He said he'd take $15 off the bill. No where was there a service call fee expressed, or billed, but they make that up and more when they do anything at all!doing the bill he asks if I want it lubed. AVOID if you are a Woman!
by Lady Sha , 03/19/2013
Came out for an estimate and then tried to bill me for 1 hour labor ($120.00) when I did not want to pay $200 dollars more than their competitor for the same product. When I told him two days later that I was going to use a different garage door company because of price he threatened me with lien on my house if I didn't pay him cash. That same day he showed up at my house demanding money and wanted to know who I was using, warned me that everyone else uses inferior products, he wouldnâÂÂt leave, stood on my front porch, when my boyfriend came out to talk to him he changed his tune and apologized for the misunderstanding and agreed that he would not charge us, Within two weeks, I received a bill for the full amount. It is obvious that this company preys on women. I filed a complaint with the BBB.
