Medicare Patient's Do Not Pay Cash for Supplies

In September 2015 I obtained some MD prescribed wrist braces from this company. I was told I needed to pay cash for these since my deductible was not met for Medicare. Although I knew my Medigap plan would cover these, I foolishly paid cash up front. At the end of September I called to make sure the claim had been sent to Medicare, I was told it was sent in three days after I had purchased them. Since I did not hear from my Medicare or Medigap policies, I contacted this providers business office in December. At that time I was told the claim had not been sent to my insurance because it was coded wrong. I was assured the invoice would be corrected and the claim would be sent in within the week. I again contacted Alpine on January 7th regarding this claim and left a message as of January 19th, I have not heard back from them. It seems once they have their cash they don't care if the claim is submitted to Medicare and Medigap policies. This was the first time I had used this supplier and would not recommend they be used for medical equipment/supplies. There are several other providers in out area.

Sure they have nice people that "try hard." but when it comes to dealing with a company that understands patient care, they have a long way to go.If you have a complaint to go up the ladder, you will see the greedy owners looking out for them selves 1st before patient care.
Very misleading salespeople

I was told my insurance company would pay for my c-pap by the salesperson. I questioned this three times and was assured that they had called my insurance company and that the machine would be paid in full. Imagine my surprise when I started getting bills from them for the cost of the machine. When I called them they told me that they could not bill it out in 2009 (when I had already met my deductible) and had to wait until 2010 (new deductible year) to submit the bill to the insurance company so now I have to pay for it!! Never trust this people!!

I went in for a CPAP set up recently and had a great experience with Michael. I certainly appreciate him and the good service he provided to me. Michael represents Alpine very well.
Even when you cancel they still charge your card!

Do not go through this company! When you have cancelled your service they will continue to charge your debit card and then play stupid when you try to get your money back. When you cancel your service with Alpine you will have to call your bank and make sure they are blocked from siphoning your account.
