5 HONEST!!! by Lorna - 04/29/2013

HONEST & AWESOME. Jeff came out to diagnose why my ac. For the 3rd time my compressor failed. Part was covered by warranty but not labor. ($900+) Even tho this would likely cost him the job, Jeff suggested I call back previous company who replaced the last two compressors because they SHOULD back up their work. I planned on never using Sonoran Air, Inc. again because they have TERRIBLE customer service....but after I talked with Jeff and then a Goodman rep.(maker of AC) I went with saving the money. However, when I'm done with this problem (fingers crossed) I will use Allstate for my needs AND recommend to anyone needing assistance!

1 Rip-Off by Hosed - 11/13/2012

Charged for parts that were on warranty. Did not connect wires ...sloppy job...complete rip off for prices. Other companies commented how sloppy the work was.

I called after a night without air. They came that day and fixed the unit quickly. They checked our other unit and cleaned a filter to make sure the reading wasn't off. They were great! Very honest and very reasonable. I've recommended them to all the neighbors.

1 how many times..... by broke and angry - 07/26/2010

we had a service tech come out to do repairs on a friday. he replaced a capacitor and all was well... or so we thought. we left town for the weekend and upon returning we found our ac had been out all weekend. it was over 100 degrees in our house and litterally boiled about $300 worth of fish alive. our whole house reeked of dead fish. the tech said the wires to the compressor were burnt, yet none of the fuses were blown. we called another company to find out how this could've happened, since fuses are made to prevent this from happening, they told us that the fuses must have been bypassed. why? for more repairs? i dont know. but wont be using this company again. $175 on friday+ $175 on sunday + $300 on dead fish = very angry

We first completed a repair on the customer's system in May, replacement of the service disconnect box, and at that time advised the customer that their system was not in good shape and they should seriously consider replacement. Approximately 2 weeks later, the system broke down again. This time, the condenser fan motor had failed. Again, it was advised that the unit should be replaced because of its age and condition. The customer again chose to have a repair completed, replacement of the motor and blade. The incident the customer describes was our third unit failure within two months, and a compressor run capacitor was found to be bad. Again, replacement of the system was advised, again the customer opted for repairs. The subsequent visit did find burnt wires at the compressor, a sign that the compressor is having problems at start up. Contrary to the customers belief, burnt wires are a common summertime failure with our hot desert temperatures, especially when the humidity of the monsoon is present. Every time we were called out, the unit had suffered a new failure. This is often the reason an older unit is recommended to be replaced. Once they begin to have failures, they can compound into multiple costly repairs to an older and less efficient system. We will always give our customers all their options regarding repair versus replacement, but will ultimately honor the customer's wishes in what work they wish to have done. We strive to give honest, affordable service, while informing our customers of all options available to them and making recommendations based upon our knowledge in the air conditioning and heating industry.
