This company is terrible! by I'll never use them again! - 11/05/2009
We had their service for years, putting out only one or two containers a week when we were entitled to ten or twelve. When we moved, we had a big pick up. The driver picked through the trash and took less than half. When we complained, they came out and picked up the rest. Then, without previous notification, they charged us $3/bag or bundle for the return trip. When we complained, they acted like they could not care less. They are one of my available options at my new house, but I'd rather haul the trash myself than let them near it again.

We were one of the homes hit by the July 20th microburst storm in Wheat Ridge. Of course we took off huge amounts of trash from our yard.....bagged & branches cut to size and bundled. Allied Waste had the audacity to pick-up only 6 of 20 trash bags, and CHARGE us $3.00 per bag. When we called they could not have cared less.Bad customer service, and you can be sure we are changing our trash hauler.

They recently changed recycling from accepting all plastics up to 7 to only #1. We recycle everything and kept doing so without being made aware of the change. We came to find out that Allieds recycling center was just throwing all recycling over #1 in the garbage. Had we rec'd anything stating that this was the case, we would have cancelled and gone to Waste Management (which recycles everything!) immediately. Bad customer service.

On an aside...It took them weeks to resume our trash pickup after last winters storms and we are smack dab in the middle of lakewood (not rural). We were never able to reach anyone either!

Terrible business Practice by happy customer - 02/11/2008
Allied Waste bought out the company that picked up our trash. We had the same contract for 7 years. In the past few months the service has been getting worse and worse with them picking up only some or none of our trash. The response we got was that we have too much trash! So they only pick up what they think we should have??!! They also broke our trash can last time they picked up our trash (one they provide for us to use) and said that since it broke that it is our responsability to replace it and it will cost $3.95 per month to rent a new trash can! I highly recommend looking elsewhere for trash services until Allied Waste can get their priorities straight.

Worst Company - No Customer Service - Bad Business Practices - No Common Sense! by My Opinion - 01/16/2008
We rented a house for a few months after our house caught on fire. We moved into the interim house and called Allied for trash removal. Their response was that we had to pay the previous renters bill in order for them to service this particular house. This past account had nothing to do with us. We went to Pro Disposal!.............This ridiculous - bad business practice will have me saying negative things about Allied every chance I get. Obviously this company hasn't heard about hiring a collections agency or how bad it can be for future business to put these types of rules into practice. Hopefully they will have a multitude of people speaking bad about them - and take a huge hit in their bottom line!
