IOWANS HELPING IOWANS OUT by Nic - 08/25/2009Called Allied Overhead Door and talked to a very nice and knowledgable owner named Terry. He helped me get my garage door fixed in no time right over the phone. Instead of charging me 58-87 dollars i was quoted by the two other places i called him and he explained the problem to me over the phone. Its hard to get service like this in this world any more.
Well done, professional job, completed to our schedule and satisfaction by zaphod beeblebrox - 02/14/2009We contacted Terry on a snowy, cold late afternoon and he was able to fit us in very quickly. Not knowing the type of garage door and such, he arrived with sufficient spares to ensure the job could be done right the first time. The job included replacing broken springs and, from beginning to end, Terry was a true professional. He tested the work completed and I'm glad to have found the right guy for the job.
Spring Repair by Hixes - 02/03/2009This company was great called them up and were able to fit to my schedule. They were very kind and friendly. Could tell they have worked on doors before since they went right to the root of the problem and started the repair prosess. One the things that impressed me most is through the repair found that a motor gear was bad and since onsite and for a small fee they fixed that as well. Not many companies out there stick to thier quote these guys did.

Spring Repair - Very Satisfied with service and price by Researcher - 05/05/2008One of the springs on the garage door broke and the other one was buckled. The owner was in the area at the time (late afternoon) and came straight over. Although he was pretty confident that he knew what type of door and springs were used in our townhome association, he wanted to double-check as we had modified the door by stuffing insulation in it. He fully explained how any weight added to a door can caused extra strain on the springs and motor. Even though his next day was fully booked, he squeezed us in while his kid was at Softball. (He kept in touch with us to let us know how his schedule was going - very much appreciated). He took the extra time to ensure the springs (he got the more heavy duty ones at no extra-cost to us) would hold up the door and the door worked. He is a garage door expert whom prides himself on a job well done.
