We took our rescue here when we went on vacation. I chose this place because they claimed that they will spend the night with the dogs. I was even shown a human bed where they supposedly will stay and let your dog sleep with them. Our girls sleep with us, so this is what they are accustomed to. I also liked the idea of the playroom with cameras. Very first night of our trip, I logged in to see what my girl was doing. She, along with all the other dogs, was standing at the door. Nobody was playing with them every single time I logged in. All they did was just stand there. Noses to the door. Sad. I logged in late that night. Wanted to make sure they adhered to bedtime hour of 9:00. MIDNIGHT!!! My girl along with a several other dogs, are still in the “play” area. Two beds, half a dozen dogs and a cold concrete floor. My baby was sitting on the floor with her head hanging in exhaustion. No place to sleep. I was SICK! I immediately called, an of course got vm. So much for someone being there 24 hrs. They called me back in am, blaming a new employee for the situation. Absolutely unacceptable. We cut our trip short and flew home. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s horrible. These people don’t care. And it is filthy. I would give it negative stars if I could.

False advertising

I used to take two of my dogs there. I thought they were great for a long time and recommended them to many of my friends with dogs. Just recently my dog was taken there for daycare and was scared to go in the back after he'd been there many times. He's a big dog and very friendly. He LOVES playing with other dogs so I thought this was awfully odd. They say they have cameras in all their play rooms so I went online to check on him throughout the day with no success in seeing him. I called and asked where he was and was told he was in a certain room and to keep watching. I never saw him so called back 15 min later and got someone else who said he was somewhere else without a camera and they have ten rooms not four. She assured me he was playing with other dogs. When I got him home his collar was so tight you couldn't even fit two fingers under it and he has marks on his teeth from chewing on a cage. (I know what this looks like when their teeth are rubbing on metal because my previous dog had separation anxiety and would chew on her cage). Now why would you advertise 4 play rooms and that dogs will be in open play groups when you're putting them in cages in the back??? I don't even want to begin to guess why his collar was so tight it was almost choking him. It makes me feel sick because he is young and extremely sweet and gentle. Needless to say, I will never take my dog there again.

I took my daughter's dog here. Her dog received an uneven hair cut along with some black goo in her hair as well. I will not take her nor my dog here ever again! The place is not very clean either.

I was looking online to find a a cheaper place to get my dog groomed since I usually get stuck paying $50 for a small dog. I saw their site online and figured I would give them a try. When I called they told me they were new to grooming and were offering $10 off for new clients so I thought it was a pretty good deal. When I looked online it showed $35 for a big dog, $25 for a medium sized dog, and then $20 for a large. I have a shih tzu/bichon frise mix. So she can be considered a small/medium sized dog. When I dropped her off I was kind of uncertain. The place had a weird smell and wasn't the cleanest but I still decided to go ahead and have her groomed because she was desperately in need of a good trim! When I went back to pick her up I asked how she did and they said fine. Then they told me it would be $35 and I told them that couldn't be right according to their site and what the owner had told me over the phone. They then went to tell me my dog was aggressive so they had to charge more and that they kept a muzzle on her the whole time. Considering the breed of my dog, she has a small trachea and is not allowed to have a muzzle on her. I have also never been told by the 2 other dog groomers I take her to that she was ever aggressive by any means! When I told the groomer that my dog was not allowed to have a muzzle on her because of her breed she just made excuses. First she claimed my dog was a different breed from what I had told her, wrote on the paper work, as well as shown them the papers I had from when I purchased her. She then said the muzzle was oversized and that she let her have plenty of water breaks so that it was okay. No shih tzu/bichon frise is allowed to be muzzled because of the size of their trachea! I have been informed of this by my vet as well as both of the dog groomers I have used. These people know nothing about dogs or what they are doing! They lowered the price to $31 which is not what I was told over the phone or listed on their site. I will never take my dog here again or recommend them to anyone!! They do not care for other people's dogs properly. If you care about your dogs you should look somewhere else. They are plenty of other local dog groomers, day cares, and boarding places for your animals!

Something to wag about!

I have started taking my dog to daycare ever since he was old enough, so I have seen a few dog daycares

Alfie's is a fun environment, the staff are always polite, and the spaces are huge. They have web cams so I can see my baby running around... all in all I am happy that I found out we had one close to my house =D
