the best weekend getaway by coates - 10/20/2007
The Alderbrook Resort and Spa has been updated under new owenership and it is a jewel on the lower Hood Canal. The best part is that it is less than 1 hour from Tacoma, so is easy to get to after work on a Friday night and stay the weekend. Room, spa, and food prices are reasonable given that many spend a large amount of money on spa vacations. The food, by the way, is fantastic with a NW cusine focus. They also have an indoor heated pool which my kids enjoyed thoroughly.
