As the state’s largest commercial airport, the Sunport serves as the gateway to the diverse cultures, rich history and breathtaking landscapes that make New Mexico. Albuquerque is served by seven major commercial carriers: American, Continental, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, United and US Airways offer non-stop service to 29 cities. It also receives regular in-state service from commuters, Great Lakes Airlines and New Mexico Airlines. ABQ in-state service from commuters, Great Lakes Airlines and New Mexico Airlines. Located four miles from Downtown Albuquerque, the International Sunport is the largest airport in the state of New Mexico, and offers arrival and departure flights to most major U.S cities and international destinations.
In the late 1990's, the International Sunport underwent a major expansion project, and currently features one Main Terminal and 22 gates on two concourses: A and B. Passengers can benefit from several airport amenities such as restaurant and beverage establishments, and retail shops. Albuquerque International Sunport also features several collections of cultural art pieces displayed throughout the Main Terminal.
Albuquerque International Sunport features one terminal, two concourses, and three levels. Level one contains baggage claim, information center, drop-off and pick-up zones, and access to ground transportation and car rental center. The second level of the Main Terminal contains the ticket counters. Security checkpoints and two concourses are located on the third level of the Main Terminal. Concourse A contains gates A1 - A14 and services Southwest. Concourse B contains gates B1 - B10 and services American, Continental, Delta, Frontier, United and US Airways. Airlines are subject to gate changes do to current terminal renovations.
