Great job by Josh! by
Josh did a great job servicing our equipment this week. He was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Upon learning that we needed to replace our 18-year-old unit, we then had the pleasure of learning all about newer systems and their advantages/disadvantages from Justin.Thank you for your great service.
Fast, punctuate, honest work; cost could be lower by
Our furnace stopped working on a snowy day when the temperature dropped to single-digit. I called AHA in the evening but unfortunately they could not come out because of the snow. The tech came next morning and said the blower motor was malfunctioning. It would take a few days for the new motor to come in. It was a difficult week with temperature in the teens everyday. Fortunately they called as soon as the motor came in, which was five days after the first check, and one day before the original appointment for the motor installation. The installation took only 20 minutes and my furnace started working right away. What a blessing to have the heat back on!For both appointments I was given a 2-hour window. The tech called about 30-40 minutes in advance to make sure I could get home from work. The second time, I called just before the scheduled time window and was told the tech would come after another customer. It was nice to have the information so I could run some extra errands.I was charged $94 for the first visit, then $428 for the motor replacement. That was my only complaint: The $428 flat rate for the motor installation seems to be high. The motor itself (parts) can't be more than $100 according to amazon, so the labor and installation was three times as much. If I had half a day of time I could try DIY. But I have 3 young kids and I work full time. I spent all my evening to make sure the kids don't bump into the space heater that I borrowed from the neighbor. That meant no time for me to study motors. In this sense, one can say the $428 is well spent. However, one could evision the possibility of having the first $94 tech fee waived if I choose to have AHA installed the motor at the end. Or, the cost could simply be lower. Or, they can offer a coupon for my next service, etc.
Excellent Service! Fair and honest. by
Had AHA come out for a second opinion. They were honest and fair. Patrick explained everything. Price was way below competitor. I'll be using Albemarle Heating and Air from now on.
Great Job by
I had a very small time window they were able to provide a quick estimate and rush the job with great results. And the made sure I was aware of all rebates available. I have recommended them to anyone needing service or considering a new system.

AH&A did a great job with our heat pump replacement project, from initial evaluation to installation and post-installation review. Thanks. I recommend AH&A.
Definitely recommend! by
I just replaced the entire HVAC for my house with Albemarle Heating & Air and in conjunction with an energy audit. AHAA may not be the cheapest company, but the service and quality were extremely high. They went out of their way to provide an audit, design a system to meet my actual needs, discuss other energy improvements to the house beyond what they sell, and find a variety of rebates to reduce the overall cost. The few other companies I checked out just wanted to slap new parts on without assessing need.
Great service! by
We replaced our 21-year old heat pump earlier this year and reluctantly realized that, to upgrade our heating and cooling system with more energy efficient designs, we had to replace the inside air handler, too. Albemarle Heating & Cooling did a very professional job, especially when it came to trying to figure out what kind of system we needed and took the time to answer all our questions. They have also stayed in touch following the installation and will be back next week to do a complimentary service to make sure all is well. Highly recommended!
Great company to deal with! by
When I needed a new heat pump, I contacted two leading companies for quotes. The quotes were less than $200 apart. But AHA explained in detail the processes for obtaining two rebates available to me, plus they gave me a much better techical explanation of the new system. After installation, their followups were outstanding. They even replaced the motor in the outside unit because it was too noisy. In addition they showed great concern that the new system was satisfactory, and a readiness to address any concerns I might have. Overall, dealing with AHA has been a pleasant and positive experience.
Good people - Great product (Trane) by
My old system was on its last leg, so I knew I had about two months to shop around for a new system. After contacting 5 different companies and taking my time to compare apples to apples, it became very clear that for price and continued service and warranty AHA was by far the best deal. The personal (office - sales - installers) were all very courteous and professional. The real benefit has been a lower utility bill each month. I highly recommend AHA.
Fast, easy and professional by
After checking with several recommended sources for a new heat pump, we picked AHA because we had confidence in their proposal - Tim seemed interested first and foremost in recommending only what we really needed - and the financing worked for us. They were on time, professional, neat and clean with an absolute minimum of interruption. Months later, the system is operating just as we hoped it would.
