AHBL was founded in 1969 to bring a collaborative approach to the development of built environments. Our staff of over 110 works together on projects of local and regional significance, serving both public and private clients from offices in Spokane, Tacoma, and Seattle.
Since 1993, AHBL has been a regional leader in the application of sustainability principles to the built environment. Our work has involved sustainability policy development and goal setting for municipalities; the integration of Low Impact Development (LID) Best Management Practices into local codes and ordinances; master site planning, and the design and engineering of projects following LID and/or LEED standards.
