Like the other reviews we did not have a bad experience with the front end. After waiting for the dentist to come in 1/2 hours late my husband was finally called back. My husband went for a cleaning and was told he needed four caps. He also had cavities in those teeth. He tried to ask why fill those teeth if you are going to cap them and the dentist (which he couldn't even understand) would not give him an answer. Thank goodness he only would do two of his teeth because he was in pain after. He went to a new dentist a week later and those cavities had to be redone. Called to complain and they will not answer or call back. Left a message that they better not charge our insurance! Never, never go here!!!!

Terrible experience from front office to initial visit and follow up. They are just looking how much they can take off your wallet. I really disliked the attitude of the woman who sits in the business office. I could not get her name. She was condescending and spoke to me like a child. Her total demeanor was not of anyone in health care but a stylish saleswoman in heels. At least the dentist was warm and professional so this place gets 2 stars for him.

They obviously have no idea what they are doing. You feel like a guinea pig in there. The lady at the reception was very unprofessional. I overheard the staff using profanity and making fun of the patients. They will not be getting my business.

Horrible. I made an appointment months in advance for a cleaning. A week before my appointment it was cancelled and rescheduled a week later. A week later I went in for a cleaning. After a hour wait I was poked by the dentist several times and then was told I was done. I asked what are you talking about? I came in for a cleaning. They said they can not do a cleaning and I would have to come back some other time if I wanted a cleaning. I changed dentist the next day. This place is a joke.

As a freelance blogger with no dental insurance, I was dreading taking my son in for his 6th grade exam for school. Let's face it, trips to the dentist can be pretty expensive these days. Especially after spending a fortune on school supplies, new shoes and clothes, and an extra immunization newly mandated by the state. I was lucky enough to find a coupon in the mail that included an exam, multiple x-rays, and a cleaning for $39. It almost sounded too good to be true. There had to be some hidden fee or deficiency with the facility or staff. Much to my chagrin (and that of my nervous son), the place and staff were fantastic. Easy in, easy out. Super modern and comfortable office. And, the entire bill was legitimately only $39. Can I come back with a coupon for myself!? Luckily no cavities. They recommended some sealants which I can happily afford in some installments since they will be much cheaper than having cavities filled. If you are new to the area and looking for a dentist I highly recommend AFD. If you haven't been to the dentist in a few years and are nervous, this place is great. And if you do not have insurance and would like an exam and cleaning, ask about their new patient special and keep an eye out for the coupon.
