Integrity, faithful service, teamwork, and accountability.
Our mission is to add value and stability to the lives of people in New Mexico with developmental disabilities and to faithfully support the people who care for them.
The New Mexico Department of Health Long Term Services Division's DD Waiver Service Standards provides for four categories of "Community Living Services". These services are intended to provide individuals with developmental disabilities support services in a residential setting in order to increase, maintain or promote the individuals' capacity for independent functioning, self-determination, self-advocacy, interdependence, productivity, and community integration. The Homebased Support Service is one of the four categories.
The Homebased Support Service entails the placement of an individual in the home of a Homebased Direct Support Provider who accepts and cares for this individual as if he/she was a family member. Aside from cultivating a long-term relationship, responsibilities include: meal planning/preparation, money management, personal hygiene assistance, supervision, dispensing medication, community integration, recreation, transportation, and participation in team meetings.
Active Solutions Incorporated actively recruits, approves, trains, supports and supervises these Direct Support Providers. ASI takes care to establish the best possible match between individual and direct support provider. Additionally, ASI recruits and approves respite providers and coordinates the use of responsible respite care. Direct Support Providers are encouraged to use all allotted respite care.
