Paid to have a commercial cooler fixed, took my money and never gave a receipt or warranty paperwork on the parts and labor as promised. Cooler still does not work. Lawyer said I had to file with BBB and State Attorney General to resolve the matter due to 179 complaints on file with the BBB and 52 of them still being unresolved. Worst company I've ever had the displeasure of working with. Would not recommend to anyone.

I had Action Appliance out to fix my refrigerator and they did a great job! They also performed a video inspection of my dryer vent and found it was clogged which might have saved a fire! What a great service!
CRIMINALS! DO NOT USE!
by SCAM ARTISTS! , 01/07/2014
DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE! They charged my wife $420 to put a heating element in our dishwasher. That job took them 15 minutes and I looked up the part and it cost $30! When I called them and asked for an itemized invoice to see how they came up with $420, they said there was no way to get one. No way for them to look at a breakdown of parts and labor that THEY created?! Bull s#!t. These people are criminals!
Can't prove what I paid for
by A itemized bill please , 10/14/2013
First, the repairman was fine. My problem is when my wife showed me the bill it had 2 parts listed and a grand total. I emailed them and asked for a itemized bill. They cam back and said they do not do that anymore. My bill was $230.00. So were the parts $2.00 and labor $228.00 or what. 2 parts, 17 minutes and a bill of $230.00. Still want a itemized bill but no one will respond. I am having a neighbor take the parts out to make sure they were even new or even replaced.
DISHONEST DIAGNOSIS OF PROBLEM / ATTEMPT AT RIP-OFF
by JCB , 09/23/2013
Our Maytag Neptune washing machine was occasionally leaking water into the drum while not in use, and then once kept filling during a wash and overflowed. I figured it had to be a faulty water inlet valve. Everything else on the washing machine was working fine -- wash cycles, water temps, wash times, spin cycles, etc.My wife called Action Appliance, Inc., and booked them because they were the first company to say they could send someone out the next day (a Saturday) as I had to work all weekend. The service charge would be $54.95.A technician came out on Saturday and quickly "inspected" the machine and told my wife that it needed a new motherboard, the cost would be around $600, and that it is a much sounder decision to go ahead and invest that much money into our current 9-year-old machine because the new ones being sold today are of much lesser quality and will probably break down in two years. He really tried to sell her on the $600 repair, and really stressed that spending that much on a new machine would be a waste of our money. She called me and I told her to pay the service fee and send him on his way, and that I would look into it. I simply did a web search plugging in the words "maytag neptune leaks water overfill" and immediately came up with a number of posts describing, diagnosing, and fixing my exact problem. All I needed to do was replace the water intake valve. The motherboard was completely fine, as was obvious because all the buttons on it worked and the machine responded correctly to whatever command was pushed.I located the part I needed at dozens of place online that would ship it to me, and one place near I-70 & Pecos in Denver that had it in stock. I bought the part for $90 with a lifetime warranty, and the entire replacement time by a novice like me took around 20 minutes. The kind of people who would take advantage of someone else in a predicament are the worst kind of people. I feel sorry for any elderly people this technician comes across.
Absolute worst service imaginable
by JB , 03/04/2013
Absolutely the WORST customer service experience I have ever had. From the office team to the incompetent technician, we were mislead with regards to invoice, billing, technical know-how and execution of repair.I was overcharged on my initial bill, by over $100. "Whoops. We're sorry. We'll fix that," was the response I got.The tech misdiagnosed our refrigerator problem, TWICE!!!He lied about when the part would arrive, TWICE!!!The office team showed complete incompetence and an overall disinterest in helping us with time requests and the returning of calls...even with a very understanding tone from both my spouse and I.It has been over a month. Still have a broken fridge. I am confident that if I had used another company we would have a repaired machine at this point. Not only will I never use this incompetent company again, I will make sure no one in my network of 25 years in the Front Range uses them either. The absolute worst.
They wouldn't stand behind their work

We hired Action to fix a 'dead' oven. It took them two visits to tell us they needed to put in a whole new control board. $500 and a week later, we had the oven up and running. We moved out of the house 3 weeks later. It sat empty for 4 months and renters moved in 3 weeks ago - so 6 weeks of actual usage by humans and it broke again - in the exact same way...I called Action and they were unwilling to help in any way. They wanted to come out and "take a look" and charge me $54.95 for that privilege and then the extra on top for whatever they needed to do. I used them this time because they were available when we needed them - and I now know why...they don't follow through on their work or stand behind it at all.
DO NOT USE .... ! horrible customer service / support !

company charged almost $700 to fix an old microwave... the microwave still does not work & want more money to fix. ; when contacted Jacob on 10/10, he was hostile and would not address with family member; took advantage of the elderly not knowing what was being charged and should have suggested her to puchase a new microwave at a third of the cost that they charged to repair and it is still not working. DO NOT USE ! ! !

Repair GE dishwasher
by CC , 08/05/2011
Dishwasher suddenly wouldn't start. Called Action Appliances at about 11:30 in the morning and someone was at the house a little before 3. He diagnosed the problem and told me options. I wasn't happy about having to spend so much but that wasn't his fault. It was the way GE packages parts. So far happy but I'll be washing dishes by hand for a week or so.
