Beyond "Disappointing" - This Was WORST consumer experience I've had in past ten years! by siman - 02/05/2008
A TOTAL RIP-OFF!!! Technician arrived 20 minutes late and spent next 2+ hours "fiddling" around in completely disorganized way; looked for things on CDs/USB Memory Sticks he brought, couldn+t find it, then "decided+ that wasn+t what we needed+ needed to do this other thing. Although I already have well-known Spyware and a Register Repair software running on my PC, he just KNEW ones he had were better and needed to be run. His Spyware scan took WELL OVER AN HOUR to complete! In the end he made two marginally intelligent, potentially worthwhile suggestions; get more RAM and go to Virus Checker (only) instead of a Security Suite program. These two actions, WHICH HE COULD HAVE CONVEYED IN FIRST TEN MINUTES, solved maybe 5% of my problem. Everything else he did was complete waste of time. My subsequent investigation isolated problem to cable modem (something he spoke not one word of) which was replaced for less than + of what AAA Computer Rescue charged me and the problem is now 100% fixed.

Excellent work! I was told the tech would be here in 2 hours; it only took him an hour to get here. My computer was repaired very quickly, and the charge was very reasonable. It cost me about half of what I was quoted from others. The tech was extremely knowledgeable. He removed all the viruses and instucted me on how to use the antivirus software he installed.
