Too Expensive! by CWW - 11/13/2008My visit required a little extra scraping because I had fallen behind on my regular cleanings after recently moving to Portland and finding a new dentist. No cavities, no gum disease. Afterward they tell me I have to pay $148 out of pocket to cover the work (with the hygienist, not a doctor). A few weeks later I received a bill asking for another $120. What is the point of having full dental coverage if I still have to pay that much out of pocket? The service was friendly and the facilities were posh, but ultimately not worth it. I just can't afford this place.
Best Downtown Dentist by Customer - 05/14/2008I have gone to many dentists over the years and this is by far the most friendly, knowledgeable dental practice I have come across. From the moment you walk in the door everyone is smiling and goes that extra mile to make you comfortable. The quality of work is the best ! Everything is always explained to me in language that I can understand. I would say if you are looking for a dentist, give this office a try they are great.

Dr. Bailey and his team went above and beyond to make my dental experience as comfortable as possible. From the ipods to the massage chairs, it was great. I am actually looking forward to my dental appointments now. I would recommend this office for anyone that wants more from their office.
Great office and great customer service!!!!! by jjop - 01/04/2008The term you get what you pay for comes to mind. I spent many years at willamette and gentle dental, only to find that there are real dentists in town. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at Downtown Dental Care. Their office staff is amazing and I have been treated very well since leaving the "assembly line dental world". Having a doctor that actually talks to me rather than at me is wonderful. Dr. Bailey has done a wonderful job at balancing a modern customer oriented practice but also making it affordable. I would recommend them to anyone!!!
The results are *ALMOST* worth the price by MarilynC - 10/21/2007Those downtown offices with the great view come at a price, and the customers are paying it. I used them for years and loved the results, and I referred lots of people who later left because of the cost. When they started to think more about my money than my teeth, I stopped going. I complained by mail about the particular practices that finally broke the proverbial camel's back, but got no response. Too bad, because overall I enjoyed going there.
