Wonderful customer service. Excellent variety of quality fabrics. The people that work at 35th Ave are friendly, helpful and knowledgable. It is great they offer coupons on notions and fabrics. The managers are receptive and love to hear creative ideas that would benefit their business. Classes offered are informative. I love that they have the newest designers providing trunk shows and classes at low and reasonable prices, so they can educate the community and encourage our youth in crafting ideas.

Waste of my time

I took my sewing machine into their shop on the 22nd of May. It wasn't sewing and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. I was told that they would e finished with the repairs in two weeks and that they would call me before then to give me an estimate. After no call for two and a half weeks, I called to find out what was taking them so long. The worker was rude and basically told me that they would call when they felt like it.

A little under a month after I first brought it to them, they called me and quoted me $100 dollars to fix it. I tried to ask questions, but the repairman could not speak English well enough to communicate. I told him not to fix it for that kind of money (the machine is not worth $120 new). I got a call back from the manager who told me he could repair it for $30 and that he would call when it was done.

A month after that conversation I called to figure out what happened. The associate told me that they called once (I never received the call), did not leave a message, and did not try to reach me again. She then tried to tell me that it was fixed over a month ago. But the date she gave was prior to the call that gave me the estimate.

Do not waste your time, they are poorly managed, poorly staffed, and they have not customer service skills.

WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I took my elna machine in for a service and clean. It was in perfect condition. The tech broke it and when I get it back the tray was broke. The owner's son was unprofessional and argued with me and denied that the tech broke it. I couldn't believe that he was so rude and unprofessional. I really thought he would of admitted fault and said don't worry we will order you a tray and take care of that and I'm sorry that this happened. No that did not happen and it didn't matter how much I spent in their store. I had to pay $75.00 for my machine to be repaired and ended up with my machine being broken. It was a horrible experience and I wont be back. Don't take your machine or vacuum to them because if they break it they won't take blame and won't fix it.

I brought my sewing machine at this location 35th Ave. sew and vac on Northern and 35th ave. it was in perfect condition it just needed to be serviced. I get the sewing machine back and the plastic tray was broken. I was very upset as this is my only sewing machine. The owners son argued with me and said his tech didn't break it. I will never be back to this place again. They did me wrong and on top of it I had to pay $75.00 for the repair and when I get my machine back they broke the tray. I still can't believe the Company couldn't even admit that it was a mistake and you've been a good customer for years and we will take care of it. I'm shocked because I spent a lot of money in their store vacuum cleaners 3 different sewing machines. It's been years and they still refuse to fix my machine they broke and every time I sew on it I get upset at how they did me wrong. The daughter of the owner said she was going to call me about it and she never did. They still have not taken care of my machine they broke!!!!!

Terrible Experience! They threw away my $200 vacuum! The store manager here has absolutely no integrity and customer service is not a factor! I took my vacuum in and left it for service. I received a call from the vacuum service department and the man told me it was $24 dollars to service the vacuum. I agreed and the vacuum was in perfect working order. Under law, a verbal agreement will be binding if there was an accord on the services to be carried out and an agreement was reached on payment for this service as it was in my case. I was unable to pick up the vacuum right away so I contacted the store. Again, I spoke to a man in the vacuum department who assured me that it was not an issue and my vacuum would be there. I called again two weeks ago and said I would be in soon. Again I was told it was fine. I went in yesterday and was told that I exceeded the 30 period on the receipt and that my vacuum had been thrown away and they were not responsible. I spoke to the manager and explained that their employee told me two times not to worry about the time delay for my pickup. Between my last call to the store and my arrival my phone # changed. They made their only attempt to call me during that time and since they could not reach me they threw it out. First of all, why would anyone throw away a perfectly good vacuum when so many people are in need and there are organizations who take such items? They chose to throw it away. If they had donated it I would at least find some comfort in that. The manager agreed to call me after speaking to the vacuum repair employees however no call was received. I called them. These people have no regard for their customers. And the employees will only follow the manager's example. Poor and unacceptable!

sewing machines

The support, once you buy a sewing machine from this business, is outstanding. My husband bought me a general sewing one about 8 years ago. Since then, I've purchases a serger and a sewing-embroidery machine of which I recently upgraded. They gave me a trade in similar to the purchase price. They have free classes to train you on the machine you buy and all types of other classes and clubs.
