“If you don't mind having your living room torn up for a couple of months and/or surprise charges after job completion/payment (complete with collection agency threats) than this is the company for you. Be prepared to make numerous calls to these guys in order to get them to finish the installation after they've started. Hopefully you have the ability to take off lots of time from work because you'll need to. Expect it to take several visits as they'll have a hard time procuring whatever you order from them. Whatever you do don't pre-pay your order (like we did) or they'll never finish. You'll be fortunate after it's all said and done if you end up with the fireplace and surround you originally ordered and paid for. Not a pleasant experience. “

The only positive came from the sub-contractors they hire to do the work. They're professional and timely once they're eventually provided with the correct materials (from Glowing H&H).

We have been looking for a fireplace for about 6 months and have been to a few different companies. When we walked into Glowing Hearth & Home in Burnsville it was a breath of fresh air. The sales staff is so knowledgeable and asked us all the right questions and did not try and sell us what they wanted to. They wanted to make sure what we put in our home was right for us! They came out to our house to preview (free of charge with NO obligations) just to make sure that everything would work properly. When the installers came out they were amazing! They were very clean, efficient and extremely informative. I would recommend Glowing Hearth & Home to any person who wants a seamless fireplace purchase.

Expect POOR customer service!! We had our fireplace installed and it took over a week with 3 separate trips to our house before they figured out what was wrong to finally get it working! Now less than 2 months later it doesn't work at all! I have called several times getting the run around with no one getting back to me. We are beyond frustrated and expect more from the company especially when we spent as much money as we did!! Do yourself a favor and avoid Glowing Hearth and Home!!

POOR service & they are NO less expensive than the main Eagan competitor. They overpromise & under-deliver!

4 visits to install vs. 2 as promised: all during work day of course.

Their electrician actually ended up drilling up thru our wood floors because he measured wrong.

I asked the owner for a nominal price break for our inconvenience but he would not do so!

We would not recommend this place.
