Bret Harte Elementary is a school that provides academic instruction and learning opportunities to more than 600 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers classes in several subjects, such as language arts, math, physical education and science. Its campus includes a library, resource laboratory, cafeteria and playground. Bret Harte Elementary also administers English Language Learners, special education, and gifted and talented programs. The school provides health care and food services. In addition, it manages a parent-teacher association and student council. The school offers options to participate in a student organization, the Boys and Girls Club of Burbank. Bret Harte Elementary is a part of the Burbank Unified School District.

My three kids started attending Bret Harte after attending a private school for 5 years. I could not believe how amazing the education is here at Bret Harte and how caring the teachers are. I am very happy with my decision.

The elementary school has a wonderful, friendly and professional staff, the principle is extremely friendly and supportive. I have to say, I like ALL the teachers, They have a great PTA team and parents really care for their school.
