The Acupuncture profession has minimum basic standards for the education of properly trained acupuncturists (consisting of over 3,500 hours of graduate college education from an accredited acupuncture college and not a chiropractic school or weekend training course). The chiropractic profession has created its own loophole in the SD chiro practice act that has allowed them to encroach upon the professional turf of SD's acupuncture profession.
